Proverbs 31:3 KJV
Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.

Man ways, my ways, and God ways- These are all has its own perspective and purpose. Solomon says; "When a man's ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him" I truly believe that God wanted us to be in line with His ways, and for sure, He wants us to be in His Word and His will to make it happen.- Jeremiah 7:3 KJV Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.

Bible says; Isaiah 55:8 KJV For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

Verse to Ponder: Isaiah 55:9 KJV
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Proverbs 30:2 KJV
Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.

What comes to your mind when you hear the word 'surely'? I don't know what could be the feeling if someone say to you: "Surely I will,,,"- then at the end, that man or woman who said to you: "Surely, I will..." failed you.  Jesus promised us of His coming, and He said "Surely"... Revelation 22:20 KJV
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

The Bible says: Habakkuk 2:3 KJV For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Proverbs 28:1 KJV
The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

One of the wildest, strongest, and smartest animal in the wild or jungle is the Lion. I call the Lion- the animal that doesn't cry, only roar. Christians should be roaring for Jesus. The devil roars too, but it is just to scare us and cause us to tremble with his noise. Jesus was called the Lion of Judah in the Scriptures.- Revelation 5:5 KJV And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?

https://eliellyn.bandcamp.com/

Anger is an expression of our emotions when we are in rage of something displeasure to us and against our conviction. There are countless of reasons why we get angry. But anger in itself is not sinful. Apostle Paul even encourages us to be angry.- Ephesians 4:26 KJV Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

Proverbs 26:1 KJV
As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.

https://www.reverbnation.com/eliellyn

Honour or honor is not something we randomely share or give. It is like respect, someone has to gain it. But honour to God and parents is a must for everyone to observe or do. we are told in the Bible to honour God as Jesus Himself honour God the Father.- John 5:23 KJV That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

Search and research are one of the hardest thing to do when working with your manuscript, when you write an article, make a report, etc. The Lord wanted us to do some search and research too. He wants us to search the Scriptures and to search our hearts.- Psalm 139:23-24 KJV Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: [24] And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

One of the thing that I love doing is to read the dates the businesses or the buildings were established. It's also interesting to know how old some of the institutions are... The oldest institution on earth is the home. The Lord established the husband and wife relationship in the Garden of Eden. God is the Creator of everything, and that includes the family.

The rich and poor meet together: the Lord is the maker of them all.

https://www.amazon.com/Daily-Devotion-provision-protection-experiences-ebook/dp/B009PN37RQ/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8

"Maker"- it's a vague word. It may mean something different from the point of view to different people and culture. But Maker with the big "M" in spiritual sense or according to the Scriptures means God. He is our "Maker". Are you worshipping someone else or a maker with small "m", which means a man or a woman who made up a doctrine, a teaching, or a religion? Or do you worship the true God and Creator of all things?

Apostle Paul was one of the greatest follower or disciple and missionary that ever lived on earth. With the exception of the Son of God, Apostle Paul is one of the greatest man who ever ministered during the New Testament times up to the present. Paul traveled from city to cities, and islets to big islands. He was faithful to his calling as a preacher, a teacher, a missionary, and a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.

John 20:17 KJV
Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

This verse is amazing. These are the words of the Lord Jesus Christ. He told Mary not to touch Him because He (Jesus) has not ascended to His Father at the moment they talked. The wonder of wonders about what Jesus was then telling her was that, Jesus asked Mary to tell His disciples or inform them that He already has ascended to His Father... It means by the time they see each other again with the disciples; He already did ascended to the Father in heaven. It shows that Jesus is not limited to time and space.

John 20:18-19 KJV
Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her. [19] Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

Verse to Ponder: John 20:31 KJV But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

The confrontation started, the arguments were presented, some were disgusted, while others waited and listened with curiosity and amazement of His wisdom and knowledge as He spoke with prudence and power. Jesus placed his accusers in big dilemma. He put them on the spot in spite of his enemies' evil planned of pushing him to their corner.

The Lord Jesus Christ just finished preaching and teaching them about stewardship. Notice here, at the end He separated his disciples. It says that He set His disciples apart. My son Eliezer was just ordained as a minister of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. It's an honor to serve the Lord, but Jesus started talking about crucifixion and suffering right on the spot. Following the Lord could mean suffering or sacrifices to many things and areas in life.

This is a good verse to use for those who embrace abortion, support and promote in some ways, and been a part of this wickedness and murder of the innocents. Abortion indeed is killing the babies from the womb. Those who practice abortion; their wombs becomes the babies' grave, place of murder. (Deuteronomy 5:18)

Message 20:17

I recently read in the news of a multi- billion company being fined by the Federal government for fraud and deception. Fraud, corruption, and deception does not only happen in businesses; it is sad some churches are into it, and so are in many homes, in friendships and relationships.

Zophar the Naamathite was the one talking in this verse. He might be from the lineage of Naaman. It's just my assumption the way the writer's description of him, and as how he introduced him (Zophar) in this chapter of the Bible.

https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/mi-daily-devotion-1

Zophar mentioned about man's sin and wickedness and all the bad and its destructive consequences. (read from verse 4 onward). 1 Kings 20:17 KJV
And the young men of the princes of the provinces went out first; and Ben-hadad sent out, and they told him, saying, There are men come out of Samaria.

This king was a messed. He was the enemy of the people of God. Instead of him coming to God and make peace with the people of God; he stood up against them and declared war against them. During the war, he was drinking and getting drunk. He had fun with his friends. He was celebrating for nothing, not knowing that God's hand was heavy on him. (Read the whole chapter)

The Bible says1 Kings 20:28 KJV And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the Lord , Because the Syrians have said, The Lord is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

Verse to Ponder1 Kings 20:13 KJV
And, behold, there came a prophet unto Ahab king of Israel, saying, Thus saith the Lord , Hast thou seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into thine hand this day; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.

2 Samuel 20:17 KJV
And when he was come near unto her, the woman said, Art thou Joab? And he answered, I am he . Then she said unto him, Hear the words of thine handmaid. And he answered, I do hear.

Politics, power, prestige are all in 1 package that many people covet to have in their lifetime. It's the greed to have it that the great and the greatest in the land are willing to kill and destroy just to have it. In this story, Joab made an end to the coup de' etat by the enemies of king David. But it came only after Joab listened to the ordinary God fearing woman...

Notice what happened- 2 Samuel 20:22 KJV Then the woman went unto all the people in her wisdom. And they cut off the head of Sheba the son of Bichri, and cast it out to Joab. And he blew a trumpet, and they retired from the city, every man to his tent. And Joab returned to Jerusalem unto the king.

Verse to Ponder: 2 Samuel 20:19 KJV

Message 20:17

1 Samuel 20:17 KJV
And Jonathan caused David to swear again, because he loved him: for he loved him as he loved his own soul.

I have a friend who asked me this question in light of Jonathan's love for David. Unfortunately, the question was not actually a question for his part, but instead, he was just seeking for an approval or a nod in favor of his perverted lifestyle. He asked me about homosexuality. He said; "Jonathan was homosexual due to what he felt of David and the love he shared to him, right?" I said; "No".

Loving others must not violate or twist the Lord's set of standard on morality, holiness, human dignity or spirituality as based on His Word. God is holy and will not agree with homosexuality. Numbers 15:40 KJV That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.

Message 20:17

Apostle Paul talked about Christians or believers as soldiers of God. He also wrote about the warfare that we have against the devil. In the book of Ephesians, he wrote; Ephesians 6:12 KJV For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Read Ephesians 6:10- 18)

Deuteronomy 20:17 KJV But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely , the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee:

There are commandments in the Bible that God bids us to observe and do which are extremely hard and sometimes opposite from what we believe in. But it doesn't matter to Him if we're comfortable doing such commands or not; we are expected to obey and trust Him of the rest.

The command to love our enemy. The commands to do good to those who persecute us, and pray for those who use us are some of the examples. And there are other God’s principles that are against from what we believe in or stand for as humans.

Numbers 20:17 KJV
Let us pass, I pray thee, through thy country: we will not pass through the fields, or through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go by the king's high way, we will not turn to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed thy borders.

This could be one of the most amazing moments of the Israelites' life during their journey from Egypt to the promised land. It was a celebration of blessings and miracles. But on the back scene was the announcement of God that Moses and that generation will not be able to make it to the promised land.

Here Moses and God's people were refused entrance by the Edomites, and God informed him of the consequences of Moses' rebellion and doubt. Sad. (Numbers 20:17- 29)

Leviticus 20:17 KJV
And if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

we cannot deny the fact that millions of people became victims of rape and incest. It's not an excuse to continue in sin such as resort to abortion or rebellion on the part of the victims. The Lord is a just God and He will not condone sin and iniquity. The Bible says; Deuteronomy 32:4 KJV He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Exodus 20:17 KJV
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbour's.

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/mobile/w/mi-daily-devotion-ely-roque-sagansay/1120565884?ean=9781449767334

“Covet” means “to be envious” in other translation. Some people steal or commit adultery because there is no contentment and true satisfaction in their heart. There is an empty vessel inside of them that says; “I want more” or “I want what he or she has”. It is the inner and fleshly desire which is not pleasing to God. Romans 13:9 KJV For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Verse to Ponder: Luke 12:15 KJV
And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

Kiss the year 2016 goodbye and knock on the door of the year 2017.
Leave the failures and the pain of 2016 and love the future blessings of 2017.
Learn from 2016 and look forward to 2017.
Take the time to examine yourself from the outcome of 2016, and trust the Lord as you explore 2017.  Proverbs 3:6 KJV In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. My personal counsel- to lean on Jesus is the best remedy for failures and disappointments, discouragement, etc.
