13 Reasons Why Wine (Liquor and Beer) is a Mocker

1- You Spend Your Money to Drink Wine (Liquor or Beer) with Nothing in Return But Destructions.

2- You are Destroying Your Body with Alcohol.

3- You Can Get Sick Due to Alcohol Content in Your Body.

4- You Will Lose Your Focus When You're Drunk.

5- You Can be Prone to All Kinds of Accidents.

6- Your Memory May Fail Someday Because Alcohol Will Destroy Your Brain.

7- You Will Vomit Everything When You're Drunk Already.

8- You Will Get a Hangover the Next Day.

9- You Will Smell So Bad and You Will Have Bad Breath, Hmmm, That's Nasty.

10- You Will be Late for Work, Appointment or Date the Next Day. Don't Lie, Tell Them the Truth Why You're Late or Absent.

11- God is Not Pleased with Your Bad Habit. If You Cannot Feel the Holy Spirit is Convicting You- You Better Check Your Heart.

13- Bad Number, #13- Your Bad or Worst Destinations: Jail, Hospital or Six Feet Below the Ground.

Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion

"Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool." (Proverbs 19:1 KJV)

Are you a poor man in the world's standard? But you are not living in poverty as compared to those who lives in the third world countries. Are you a man or woman of integrity? Is your life's legacy according to God's standard or your standard? Does your lips move faster than your brain, and the meditation of your heart ticks like a gas pump or something else? Or unfortunately, you are a fool in the sight of man and in God's eyes? 

These are tough and straightforward questions that you alone can answer. I do not demand an answer, but I wish if someone will talk about us, it would be positive adjectives and Godly things that they see from us. It's even better if it is about God and encouraging words they hear and listened upon... May it would be a life that's pleasing in the sight of God and man. Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion

"Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom." (Proverbs 18:1 KJV)

This is what it says in ESV- "1 Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment." And if I put it in my own words, it would be like this; "Leave me alone for now, so I could find out for myself what I really want. I get up and stand up against all good judgment or wisdom."

I personally would not break out when I heard of someone making good and right judgment. It's human to make mistakes, but it's not right and fair to others when a person continually practice wrong judgments and then apologize. "Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife." (Proverbs 17:1 KJV)

You cannot explain this to a crying child who need food or milk. There's no word to make this so easy to understand for a little child who desire a toy, a special treat in a fast food chain, or just something for an empty stomach, and you have nothing to offer. We know life is tough to give them what they want or need.

Some of the grown ups may not completely comprehend this kind of mind set. To some, this is just a proverbs or an alternative for a troubled individual or families. But once you've experienced both, the truth about this proverbs is undeniable. It means if you have been in a house full of sacrifices and yet strife is a common thing and a daily basis, and you have experienced to live in a simple, loving and quite home- then you know what it means. Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion

"The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD." (Proverbs 16:1 KJV)

"The answer of the tongue, is from the Lord." I believe the writer did not meant every word we say is from the Lord. The Lord will not put evil and bad words in our tongues. He is a holy God and He is not please with words that will contradict His holiness and standards. Apostle Paul wrote; "Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man." (Colossians 4:6 KJV)

I'm always careful with the words I use, be it in writing, in casual conversation with others, and most especially in my preachings. There is no excuse for anyone who uses non sense or bad words in preachings. And it's unacceptable for me if someone will swear or curse whether 

it's a casual conversation or in heated argument, and especially if it has something to do with the Lord's work. (Colossians 3:17)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

"A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger." (Proverbs 15:1 KJV)

In one of my devotions I wrote and I talked about "Words are Cheap". I shared some of the reasons why to some, "words" does not have any value and it's cheap for them. It's just plain words for them, no more no less.

The reaction to any action or spoken words can stir up anger and strife. Thus, words can be very expensive at times. It can start a warfare and grievances or misunderstanding. (Ecclesiastes 10:12- 15). Bad and irresponsible use of words could cost us our relationship, destroy family closeness or lead a business to unstoppable downhill. A good choice of words or words fitly spoken will give a better determination. The book of proverbs says; "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver." Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion 

"Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands." (Proverbs 14:1 KJV)

Physical beauty is good, and good looks is cool and great; but in any relationships especially in husband and wife's intimate love- life; it does not really help in times of problems, troubles, and difficulties in life. The looks and the body shapes or the smoothness and the color of hairs or the nice hairstyles will not matter anymore. This may sound sarcastic; but to some, unfortunately, they may look like a coverings of the evil inside.

We desire to see couples and homes that are filled with wisdom. Relationships that are in line with God's wisdom- it means they're wise, and they wisely make their decisions in the beauty of God given gift of understanding and prudence. It's the beauty of the heart, the inner man that makes the relationship stronger and sweeter. Jesus and the beauty of your Godly heart is the best. (Titus 2:1- 15) - By Ely Roque Sagansay
