Word ofWisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 24:3 KJV
Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:

Are you an established person or Christian? Does your faith, your home, your plans, or your business were established in the center of God’s will and God’s Word? Give glory to God if you're financially, spiritually or materially established already. Like king Solomon, it is God who established us.- 1 Kings 2:24 KJV
Now therefore, as the Lord liveth, which hath established me, and set me on the throne of David my father, and who hath made me an house, as he promised, Adonijah shall be put to death this day.

Verse to Ponder:1 Chronicles 17:24 KJV
Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, The Lord of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel: and let the house of David thy servant be established before thee.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 23:3 KJV
Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat.

http://m.barnesandnoble.com/w/mi-daily-devotion-ely-roque-sagansay/1120565884?ean=9781449767334

It is not wrong or bad to be desirous of good things. I wish people will be more desirous of the things of God. I hope Christians will be more desirous of the things above or heavenly things where God is seated in His throne. The devil’s desire is to deceive and destroy us.- Colossians 3:1 KJV If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Verse to Ponder: 1 Thessalonians 2:8 KJV
So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.

Proverbs 22:1 KJV
A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.

“Name”. A “good name”- it's priceless. If you have a bad credit, your name may look bad to the creditors no matter how it went bad, and even if it was beyond your control. Those who have criminal records and police records have bad names on the said government agencies. But if you're a Christian, your name is in heaven and you have a very sweet name in the Lamb’s Book of Life.- Revelation 13:8 KJV And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Verse to Ponder: Acts 10:43 KJV
To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Proverbs 20:1 KJV
Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

https://www.last.fm/music/Eliel+Lyn+Sagansay

The word “raging” in reference to wine and strong drink was only mentioned in this verse in the whole Bible. Indeed, it is raging in terms of its destructions: physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, financial, social, etc. The other verses in the Scriptures talks about the raging sea such as when the Lord Jesus Christ was with His disciples in a ship, and He calmed the raging sea.- Luke 8:24 KJV And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.

Verse to Ponder: Psalm 89:9 KJV
Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.

Proverbs 19:2 KJV
Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.

Knowledge is good, but it will be a waste of time and effort to accumulate such if not put into practice or good use. This may applies the same to worldly wisdom. God wants us to learn and acquire knowledge and wisdom. The Bible says; 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Verse to Ponder: Ecclesiastes 12:12 KJV
And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

Proverbs 18:3 KJV
When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach.

https://www.amazon.com/Ely-Roque-Sagansay/e/B00JALTNYY

Many of my readers may question the word “ignominy”. This was only mentioned here in this verse. I would not be surprise if they say; “what in the world is that word?” In NIV, it says “shame”. In Revised Standard Version it means “dishonor”. While English Standard Version has the same interpretation as the RSV.  Indeed, shame and dishonor at home, in the church, politics, and organizations brings disgrace to people involved and to the name of God.- Psalm 69:19 KJV Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.

Verse to Ponder: Acts 5:41 KJV
And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

Proverbs 17:2 KJV
A wise servant shall have rule over a son that causeth shame, and shall have part of the inheritance among the brethren.

http://www.westbowpress.com/bookstore/bookdetail.aspx?bookid=SKU-000529449

To be called “a servant” is the lowest status in life even from the ancient times and Bible times. But the Lord Jesus Christ took that title and put it into practice when He came down here on earth to do, fulfill, and be obedient to the Father’s will. He was willing to take the lowest point and title for the higher calling and highest purpose.- Philippians 2:7 KJV But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

The Bible says; Exodus 32:13 KJV
Remember IAbraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.

Verse to Ponder: 1 Samuel 20:8 KJV
Therefore thou shalt deal kindly with thy servant; for thou hast brought thy servant into a covenant of the Lord with thee: notwithstanding, if there be in me iniquity, slay me thyself; for why shouldest thou bring me to thy father?
