Mi Daily Devotion

(Titus 1:1) “1- Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;”

Paul in his Epistle declared himself servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. Some politicians after they strive to gain power over the government or after a coup d’etat (sudden or forceful overthrow of the present government); they declared themselves as the new president or leader. And they proudly tell the whole world of their new status, power, government and authority. But to Apostle Paul, its about putting God and others above himself, its about service and its about His Lord and Master. I’m very much sure that his credentials were unquestionable. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself was the one who ordained him a preacher of the gospel while Paul was on his way to Damascus (Acts 9:1-9). Paul was a preacher of Christ called not to build his (Paul) own kingdom, but the kingdom of God. And we must do the same- serve our Lord and King. Paul wrote; “11- As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children, 12- That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.” (I Thessalonians 2:11- 12)
