Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 31:1 KJV
[1] The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him.

In TIME Magazine- An interview with the heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, he was asked: "What would it take for you to fight your brother?" He answered: "There is not enough money in this world. I would ask you how much your mother's heart costs." The same question that we should ask ourselves; "How much does my mother's heart costs...?"

In the Bible, we have Mothers who have influenced in the life of their children such as: Hannah the mother of Samuel. The prayerful mother. (I Samuel 1: 1- 31) The widow during Elijah's times. The faithful, obedient and responsible mother- (I Kings 17:9-16) Mary the mother of Jesus in the flesh.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

"12- who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. 13- For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis." (Colossians 4:12, 13 KJV)

Our soldiers are public servants who serves us twenty four, seven. They are all ready to respond to a call for duty and service.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

The greatest honor a Christian could have here on earth is to be called- "The servant of God". Moses was called of God the Father "Moses my servant...". (Joshua 1:1) Epaphras was a hard working and a faithful follower of the Lord. His desire was for Christians to be mature and complete in Christ. " It's one of the desire of many pastors and ministers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

May we have the servant attitude."1- Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven. 2- Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;" (Colossians 4:1, 2 KJV)

I wish the government will do more for the homeless Veterans, for the retired and wounded soldiers. I wish the government will do something for those who are suffering from traumatic and psychological problems due to their bad experiences in war. I wish the government will help the families of the wounded, and the left behind by those who fought for our freedom. To remember them is not enough- but to do something for them will give a Memorial Day be their best days.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

Love, respect, and honor are the most desired and expected return from someone by every human beings in the face of the earth. During Veterans Day and Memorial Day, we Honour those who have sacrificed for our freedom.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 25:1 KJV [1] These are also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

To copy does not mean cheating unless it's a test or academic exams. But for sure, it's just another way of sharing; but don't share the whole thing, just part of what needs to be shared. But doing such in God's Word will help further God's kingdom. To make a copy means to make known to the people the information which needed to be shared such as the law of God.

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

I- God made a copy of the law to be shared to the congregation of Israel, and for every generation.- Joshua 8:32 KJV [32] And he wrote there upon the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he wrote in the presence of the children of Israel.

II- Man made copy or copies are for necessary or urgent announcement/s- Ezra 4:23 KJV [23] Now when the copy of king Artaxerxes' letter was read before Rehum, and Shimshai the scribe, and their companions, they went up in haste to Jerusalem unto the Jews, and made them to cease by force and power.

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/mobile/w/thanksgiving-every-day-ely-roque-sagansay/1116821340

III- Kings made copy or copies of decree/s and for judgment - Esther 4:8 KJV [8] Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew it unto Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people.

Proverbs 24:1 KJV [1] Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

The evil in this world started from the fall of man. Since then, this old world has never been better but it just gets worst and out of control. And we all know it's all the works of the enemy.

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

I- The evil of human beings after the fall- Genesis 6:5 KJV [5] And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

II- The evil plans of the enemy in this evil days- Ephesians 5:16 KJV [16] Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 23:1 KJV [1] When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee:

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

"Ruler" - Who is the ruler of your life? Do you recognize the Lord Jesus Christ as the ruler of your life? Anyone or anything that controls you, rules you. If money controls you, it actually means you let money rules your life.

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

I- Don't let the world and everything in it be the ruler of your life, and don't stand against the Lord- Acts 4:26 KJV [26] The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/mobile/w/thanksgiving-every-day-ely-roque-sagansay/1116821340

II- Don't let Satan rule your life, he will work in his power to rule you and the whole world - Ephesians 6:12 KJV [12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

III- Let the Lord Jesus Christ rules your life and may His peace rule your heart- Colossians 3:15 KJV [15] And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 22:1 KJV [1] A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

Gold is a precious commodity that some people are willing to die for it. Gold miners spend thousands of dollars to dig and search for this precious worldly treasure. Many have been deceived in search for the so called hidden treasures of gold, coins or mines.

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

I- The disciples of the Lord did not have gold.- Acts 3:6 KJV [6] Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

http://www.amazon.com/Thanksgiving-Every-Day-Roque-Sagansay/dp/1490806350/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8

II- The Old Testament believers made an offering of gold unto the Lord- Exodus 35:5 KJV [5] Take ye from among you an offering unto the Lord : whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the Lord ; gold, and silver, and brass,

III- Your decision to put your trust in the Lord  for salvation, and be a Christian today will make you walk in the streets of gold in heaven.- Revelation 21:21 KJV [21] And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. (Revelation 21:18)

Verse to Ponder: Revelation 3:18 KJV [18] I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Proverbs 21:1 KJV [1] The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord , as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

The title "Lord" "lord" or lords are either addressed to Jesus Christ or rulers. We must not take His title lightly because when we say; He is LORD, it means we don't have a grain of authority over our body, soul, and spirit.

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

I- He is the LORD of hope- Deuteronomy 28:1-2 KJV [1] And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: [2] And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. II- He is the LORD of hosts- 1 Samuel 1:3 KJV [3] And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the Lord of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the Lord , were there. (I Samuel 1:11)

III- He is the LORD in our hearts- 1 Thessalonians 3:13 KJV [13] To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
Ephesians 3:17 KJV [17] That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 20:1 KJV [1] Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

"Deceiving and being deceived"- it's a nice phrase but a painful thing to happen in one's life. An individual could be a deceiver or the deceived one. A good friend of mine when asked which one he like; he quickly answered back; "I would rather choose the later than the former."

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

I- People are being deceived by wine- Proverbs 21:17 KJV [17] He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich. (Proverbs 23:20; 30)

http://www.amazon.com/Thanksgiving-Every-Day-Roque-Sagansay/dp/1490806350/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8

II- People are being deceived by the wiles of the devil- Revelation 12:9 KJV [9] And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

III- People are being deceived by themselves- Galatians 6:3 KJV [3] For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 19:1 KJV [1] Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

When I was a little boy, we used to sing this song in Sunday school; "Walking with Jesus, walking every day, walking all the way. Walking with Jesus, walking with Jesus alone. Walking in the sunshine, walking in the shadow, walking every day, walking all the way..."

I- We must walk with Jesus in His will- Romans 12:2 KJV [2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

II- We must walk in Jesus by His Word- Mark 4:20 KJV [20] And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it , and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

http://www.amazon.com/Thanksgiving-Every-Day-Roque-Sagansay/dp/1490806350/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8

III- We must walk for Jesus in His work- John 5:36 KJV [36] But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

"Seeking" or looking for something is one of the hated things for me to do; be it at home looking for something that I misplaced, in my driving when trying to find the street or the address, or in my personal study when I'm trying to do my research. Seeking is always personal and with a purpose. The Bible's truth about seeking.

I- The Son of God seeking the lost souls- Luke 19:10 KJV [10] For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

II- The sons of God seeking for the loving Savior's favor in prayer- Matthew 7:7 KJV [7] Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

III- The good Shepherd who 'go (seeking) after that which was lost'- Luke 15:4 KJV [4] What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

Words fitly spoken can resound a positive impact, but the opposite side may cause bad results or outcome. The word "grievous" as defined by FreeDictionary.com-
"1. very severe or painful: a grievous injury2. very serious; heinous: a grievous sin. 3. showing or marked by grief: a grievous cry. 4. causing great pain or suffering: a grievous attack."

I- Does your words injures others?- 3 John 1:10 KJV [10] Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.

II- Does your words inspires others?- Hebrews 13:22 KJV [22] And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 14:1 KJV [1] Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

There is a negative mindset that hits our brains when we hear of the word "down". I may think of either falling down, break down, down financially, or emotionally. But in the Scriptures; it could be something else. Or it may mean...

I- Figuratively Down-Joshua 17:18 KJV [18] But the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong.
(Numbers 24:8- 9)

http://www.amazon.com/Thanksgiving-Every-Day-Roque-Sagansay/dp/1490806350/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8

II- Geographically Down- Judges 1:34 KJV
[34] And the Amorites forced the children of Dan into the mountain: for they would not suffer them to come down to the valley: (Judges 3:27)

III- Spiritually and Politically Down- 1 Kings 1:25 KJV [25] For he is gone down this day, and hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the king's sons, and the captains of the host, and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they eat and drink before him, and say, God save king Adonijah.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 13:1 KJV [1] A wise son heareth his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

Rebuke is the last thing you want to hear from your parents, your mentor, and your pastor. It's not pleasant to hear but it will be a big help once you accept rebuke in the spirit of humility.

http://www.amazon.com/Thanksgiving-Every-Day-Roque-Sagansay/dp/1490806350/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8

I- Rebuke is painful- Psalm 6:1 KJV [1] O Lord , rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

II- Rebuke is the proof of love- Proverbs 27:5 KJV [5] Open rebuke is better than secret love.

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/mobile/w/mi-daily-devotion-ely-roque-sagansay/1120565884;jsessionid=A84429B3C11CE0EEDEFF49C3EB7EDA7E.prodny_store02-atgap05?ean=9781449767334

III- Rebuke is prosperity- Malachi 3:11 KJV
[11] And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

The word "Brutish" in Hebrew is "Boar" or "To be like an animal". A term applied to one whose mental and moral perceptions are dulled by ignorance." That's according to Unger's Bible Dictionary (page 158).

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

Unger's other meanings for brutish are "fool" and "ignorance". But according to FreeDictionary.com, it means "1. brutal; cruel. 2. gross; coarse. 3. carnal; sensual. 4. uncivilized. 5. bestial; like an animal."

http://www.amazon.com/Thanksgiving-Every-Day-Roque-Sagansay/dp/1490806350/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8

Are you a fool for Christ or a fool without God?- Psalm 14:1 KJV [1] The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/mobile/w/mi-daily-devotion-ely-roque-sagansay/1120565884;jsessionid=A84429B3C11CE0EEDEFF49C3EB7EDA7E.prodny_store02-atgap05?ean=9781449767334

Verse to Ponder: 1 Corinthians 4:10 KJV [10] We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 11:1 KJV [1] A false balance is abomination to the Lord : but a just weight is his delight.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

"Delight" is an amazing word. It is a positive word sometimes used from a positive outcome, reaction or reactions. The Lord our God, King David, and Apostle Paul spoke of it.

http://www.amazon.com/Thanksgiving-Every-Day-Roque-Sagansay/dp/1490806350/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8

I- What God says about delight- Jeremiah 9:24 KJV [24] But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord .

II- What King David says about delight- Psalm 37:4 KJV [4] Delight thyself also in the Lord ; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

III- What Apostle Paul says about delight-  Romans 7:22 KJV [22] For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

Verse to ponder: Isaiah 58:2 KJV [2] Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 10:1 KJV [1] The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

One of the Beatles song says; "I don't know why you say goodbye, I say hello..." This is the common phrase in many homes all over the world. When my children were young, we used to spend time together. But now that they're older;  they have their own schedules, they have their own way, they have work, school, friends, and their own agenda. Spending time with family is occasional already. Week ends is the only time for us to spend time together.

http://www.amazon.com/Thanksgiving-Every-Day-Roque-Sagansay/dp/1490806350/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8

Enjoy them while they're young and they're your captives. Spend time together and go to church together. It should not be an option but an opportunity to be together.

Verse to Ponder: Joshua 24:15 KJV [15] And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord , choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord .

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 9:1 KJV
[1] Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:

(Continuation of Mothers Day Devotion)

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

In TIME Magazine- An interview with the heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, he was asked: "What would it take for you to fight your brother?" He answered: "There is not enough money in this world. I would ask you how much your mother's heart costs." The same question that we should ask ourselves; "How much does my mother's heart costs...?"

http://www.amazon.com/Thanksgiving-Every-Day-Roque-Sagansay/dp/1490806350/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8

A song by Yoyoy Villame says; "Mother! Mother! I am sick, call the doctor very quick, doctor, doctor shall I die, tell my Mama do not cry!" Mothers' heart are soft and fragile, don't let your attitude break such.

Words are not enough to show your love to your mother or father, but your obedience will absolutely confirm it in their hearts and minds. "The loneliest place in the world is the human heart when love is absent." (E. C. Mc Kenzie)- - By Ely Roque Sagansay
