Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 20:1 KJV [1] Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

"Deceiving and being deceived"- it's a nice phrase but a painful thing to happen in one's life. An individual could be a deceiver or the deceived one. A good friend of mine when asked which one he like; he quickly answered back; "I would rather choose the later than the former."

I- People are being deceived by wine- Proverbs 21:17 KJV [17] He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich. (Proverbs 23:20; 30)

II- People are being deceived by the wiles of the devil- Revelation 12:9 KJV [9] And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

III- People are being deceived by themselves- Galatians 6:3 KJV [3] For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

Verse to Ponder: Titus 3:3 KJV [3] For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
