Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 19:1 KJV [1] Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

Perverseness is as old as the fall of man, for all of it was due to the sin of man. Therefore we may we live by it, live with it, live for it, or try to overcome it. Perverse are the ones who oppose the truth of God, and perverse are the people who stand against the Word of God.

I- People with perverse lips- Proverbs 4:24 KJV [24] Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

II- People with perverse ways- Proverbs 14:2 KJV [2] He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the Lord : but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.

III- People with perverse minds- 1 Timothy 6:5 KJV [5] Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/mobile/w/thanksgiving-every-day-ely-roque-sagansay/1116821340

Verse to Ponder: Deuteronomy 32:5 KJV
[5] They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 18:2 KJV [2] A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.

Delight is the word that could make you desire, until you discover the blessings God has prepared, oh! What an honor when sometimes you have to change, even the message with pleasure to share, as you try to discover what God have for the world.

I- Delight in the Lord- Psalm 37:4 KJV [4] Delight thyself also in the Lord ; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

II- Delight in God' Word- Psalm 1:2 KJV [2] But his delight is in the law of the Lord ; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

III- Delight in Justice- Proverbs 11:1 KJV [1] A false balance is abomination to the Lord : but a just weight is his delight.

Verse to Ponder: Proverbs 11:20 KJV [20] They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the Lord : but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

If you think of the word "clean" here's what come to our minds; food, laundry, home, drinks or something you always have in your hands. We may exercise cleanliness every day in our body, but spiritual cleansing does not comes from what we've done or do for ourselves or for the benefits of others.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

I- Cleansing only comes from God through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.- 1 John 1:7 KJV [7] But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

II- Cleansing happens after confessing our sins and repentance- 1 John 1:9 KJV [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

III- Cleansing is not by animal sacrifices or ritual, but by Christ's death on the cross.- Hebrews 9:12-13 KJV [12] Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us . [13] For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 15:1 KJV [1] A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

"Stir" if you may, according to some writer it means more than a spoon or something to mix and shake on your coffee. A spiritual meaning will help bless the thirsty soul, as you stirs up the gift, the talent, and the Word you preach!

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

I- Stir up your gift for God to encourage and to edify for God- 2 Timothy 1:6 KJV [6] Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

II- Stir up the believers in their spirituality- Acts 17:13 KJV [13] But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people.

III- Stir your church and ministry for growth and God's glory- 2 Peter 1:13 KJV [13] Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/mobile/w/thanksgiving-every-day-ely-roque-sagansay/1116821340

Verse to Ponder: 2 Peter 3:1 KJV [1] This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 14:1 KJV [1] Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

"Wise" is the the word this old world have known, yet man made a fool of the wisdom of God, it might be reckless to say; "How foolish it could be, to gain knowledge that will just pass away", but God's wise counsel is what we need in these days.

I- The foolish who profess to be wise- Romans 1:21-22 KJV [21] Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. [22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

II- The foolishness of God is wiser than men- 1 Corinthians 1:25 KJV [25] Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

III- God chose the foolish things of the world to rebuke the wise- 1 Corinthians 1:27 KJV [27] But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

Verse to Ponder: James 3:13 KJV [13] Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

Proverbs 13:1 KJV [1] A wise son heareth his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

The problem with scorners is their attitude which makes them superior, it's unfortunate to be with them when you try to make your point; they refuse to accept good and Godly opinion, and sometimes they're arrogant and they have their way of rebellion. Who are the scorners?

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

I- The fools who mocked the existence of God are scorners- Psalm 53:1 KJV [1] The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

II- The wicked, the drunkards and the unbelieving are scorners of the truth of God- Hosea 7:5 KJV [5] In the day of our king the princes have made him sick with bottles of wine; he stretched out his hand with scorners.

III- Those who hates knowledge, instructions and good counsel and the proud are scorners- Proverbs 1:22 KJV [22] How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/mobile/w/thanksgiving-every-day-ely-roque-sagansay/1116821340

Verse to Ponder: Proverbs 3:34 KJV [34] Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 12:1 KJV [1] Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.

Hateth is not a negative word if it's use for a positive reason or positive purpose. But hate could be so negative if it's against God's Word, and have some bad effects and if it's hate for love ones or friends. May we hate sin. May we hope in God our Savior. Hate is harmful if it's against God and hate for people.

I- We must learn to hate sin- Proverbs 8:13 KJV [13] The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

II- We must learn to hate stubbornness- Psalm 50:17 KJV [17] Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.

III- We must learn to hate spiritual sickness- Deuteronomy 5:9 KJV [9] Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,

Verse to Ponder: Psalm 45:7 KJV [7] Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Proverbs 11:1 KJV [1] A false balance is abomination to the Lord : but a just weight is his delight.
http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

Abominable is what God hates, it's the things that displeases Him and it's in opposition to His holiness. We may think it's fine, but its actually not in line to God's divine nature.

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

I- God wants us to put away all idols- 2 Chronicles 15:8 KJV [8] And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the Lord , that was before the porch of the Lord .

II- God don't want for us to be abominable and disobedient- Titus 1:16 KJV [16] They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him , being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

III- The punishment for the abominable sins- Revelation 21:8 KJV [8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 10:1 KJV [1] The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

The heavy burdens you carry may not be as heavy as the world could see, but I'm sure others may have worst compared to what you're going through. Don't be dismay if things don't go your way, the path you take for Jesus to break, it's your victory to celebrate!

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

I- Your heaviness or sorrow is nothing compared to what God has for us in glory- Romans 9:2 KJV [2] That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. (Romans 8:18)

II- Your heaviness is the Savior's way of getting the honor and glory- Isaiah 61:3 KJV
[3] To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord , that he might be glorified.

III- Your heaviness for others will be God's instruments to touch their lives- Philippians 2:26 KJV [26] For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 9:1 KJV [1] Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

The world was created by God, but men built from His creations and destroyed the beauty of Environment and natures. Can we build something without destroying the environment? Is it possible to build without destroying something?

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

I- God wanted for us to lay the foundation or build for His kingdom- 1 Corinthians 3:10 KJV [10] According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

II- God must be our foundation as we build an house of prayer- 2 Samuel 7:27 KJV [27] For thou, O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee.

III- We are God's building- Ephesians 2:22 KJV [22] In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 8:1 KJV [1] Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

Wisdom is unknown to the people who disown Him Who died for all our sins. We may think we're smart but being knowledgeable is not enough; for God, it's not acceptable to be in His side and in His will, without His wisdom, and Godly fear.

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

I- We need God's wisdom as we work for Him- Exodus 35:35 KJV [35] Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work.

II- We need the fear of the Lord in order to gain wisdom from Him- Psalm 111:10 KJV [10] The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments : his praise endureth for ever.

III- God's wisdom is more precious than gold and silver- Proverbs 16:16 KJV [16] How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/mobile/w/thanksgiving-every-day-ely-roque-sagansay/1116821340

Verse to Ponder: Proverbs 24:14 KJV [14] So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it , then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

Proverbs 7:1 KJV [1] My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

The commandments of God were not given as a declaration of laws but the commandments for men to obey. It is not an option to obey God's commandments but a duty and responsibility. Wherever we are, we are supposed to do what God bids us do in the Scriptures.

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

I- God's commandments for Moses and the Children of Israel- Exodus 15:26 KJV [26] And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee. Leviticus 27:34 KJV [34] These are the commandments, which the Lord commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai.

II- God's commandments for all generations- Deuteronomy 6:2 KJV [2] That thou mightest fear the Lord thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.

III- God's commandments through Christ- John 14:21 KJV [21] He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 6:1 KJV [1] My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger,

A word or two won't be necessary, to identify  an individual's personality, it's just a matter of knowing who their friends are, by then you may know their personal profile and true personality. Friends are the shadows of who you are. As what the Philippine hero Jose Rizal says; "Tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are".

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

I- Friends may someday forsake you, but God will remain... Job 19:14 KJV [14] My kinsfolk have failed, and my familiar friends have forgotten me.

II- We must pray for our good friends and for friends who betrayed and deserted us.- Job 42:10 KJV [10] And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

III- Jesus is our faithful friend, He laid down His life for us- John 15:13 KJV [13] Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/mobile/w/thanksgiving-every-day-ely-roque-sagansay/1116821340

Verse to Ponder: John 15:15 KJV
[15] Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

Proverbs 5:2 KJV [2] That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.

In NIV it says; "that you may maintain discretion and your lips may preserve knowledge" to regard discretion means to keep maintaining... It may be your personal right and godly discretion. Whatever decision you make, may you will do it with discretion and prudence.

I- God's discretion- Jeremiah 10:12 KJV [12] He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

II- Man's discretion- Proverbs 19:11 KJV [11] The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.

III- The woman without discretion...- Proverbs 11:22 KJV [22] As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 4:2 KJV [2] For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

A doctrine can be good or evil, but one thing for sure; it is a belief of which one would stand for, and others would die for. It may sound silly but it is truly worthy to die of the doctrine of Christ Who set us free. You may think it's folly but no one can set us free but in the belief of His death at the cross of Calvary.

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

I- The doctrine of Christ- 2 John 1:9 KJV [9] Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
II- The doctrine of Satan and Balaam- Revelation 2:14 KJV [14] But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. (I Timothy 4:1)

III- The doctrine of the religious leaders (the Pharisees  and of the Sadducees)- Matthew 16:11-12 KJV [11] How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? [12] Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

Verse to Ponder: Mark 1:22 KJV [22] And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 3:1 KJV [1] My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

God's law is holy and we must not take it so lightly, it is our guide and our bread, the whole wide world desired to feed on it daily, we may have human laws to observe and obey as our duty; but we must also obey God's law for it is the only book that could enlighten us, encourage us and make us holy.

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

I- The law of God within our hearts- Psalm 40:8 KJV [8] I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart. (Psalms 37:31)

II- We must keep the law of God- Proverbs 28:7 KJV [7] Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father. (Proverbs 29:18)

III- We must walk in His law- Jeremiah 32:23 KJV [23] And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them:

Verse to Ponder: Psalm 119:92 KJV [92] Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 31:2 KJV [2] What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows?

http://www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

To make a vow as you bow down your head, it's a sign of humility and of giving your heart to the One who gave His life for you and me. It's not important if it's great or small, of significant or purely ordinary; Jesus accepts and honor as you lay down your life and fulfill your vows to the King of kings.

http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000972320/The-New-Christmas-Every-Day.aspx

I- The vow of Jacob- Genesis 28:20 KJV [20] And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,

II- The vow as a Nazarite- Numbers 6:21 KJV [21] This is the law of the Nazarite who hath vowed, and of his offering unto the Lord for his separation, beside that that his hand shall get: according to the vow which he vowed, so he must do after the law of his separation.

III- The vow of Jonah- Jonah 2:9 KJV [9] But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/mobile/w/thanksgiving-every-day-ely-roque-sagansay/1116821340

Verse to Ponder: Ecclesiastes 5:4 KJV [4] When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.
