The Wise Men based on the world's standard of being wise were the foolish of fools. Why? Because it's unacceptable for the world to offer expensive treasures to a poor, homeless baby that was born in a manger. Jesus has no political influence, no business and investment, He was hated by king Herod, and He was not a celebrity. Therefore for the Wise Men to travel that far and offer the Lord Jesus Christ their precious treasures was foolishness to the people during their times.-

[11] And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. [12] And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way."
