JOSEPH REMAINED FOCUS ON GOD’S SPECIAL DAY!

MI DAILY DEVOTION
SATURDAY
JOSEPH REMAINED FOCUS ON GOD’S SPECIAL DAY!
(Matthew 1:18- 19) 18- “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 19- Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.”

We have the treasures and the pressure of CHRISTmas. CHRISTmas is a treasure from the Lord because of the gift of God the Father to a dying and sinful world. It will be a pressure if you don’t know the true meaning, the true Spirit and the center of CHRISTmas. If Joseph was not spiritually mature and if he was not living the Christian life; he could never make it on that first CHRISTmas day. Joseph will either be proud, and will start to have a haughty spirit or he will be so scared and turned his back from the offer and command of God to him through the angel. (Matthew 1:20) “But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.” Joseph will have in his hand the honor and the greatest responsibility an individual could ever have and it was to take care of Mary and of Jesus. Some of the people you know may not make it right this CHRISTmas season and it’s because they don’t know the right person of CHRISTmas which is the Lord Jesus Christ. Remember that CHRISTmas is not about you and it’s not about us, it’s about the CHRIST of CHRISTmas.

(Matthew 1:21) “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”

WHAT WAS ON JOSEPH’S MIND 23 1/2 DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS?

MI DAILY DEVOTION
FRIDAY
WHAT WAS ON JOSEPH’S MIND 23 1/2 DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS?
(MATTHEW 1:16; 18) 16- “And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. 18- Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.”

You may already know that Joseph was not the father in the flesh of the Lord Jesus Christ, because Jesus Christ was born of a virgin by the working of the Holy Spirit of God. But the relationship between Joseph and Mary was there already, although not into the highest extent such as the husband and wife relationship. “When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together…” If I were in Joseph’s shoes, I will have a mixed emotion. I will be emotionally hype because Jesus would be born in 23 and ½ days. I will be spiritually anxious because I’m going to serve God the Father as a father of the King of kings and the Lord of lords. I could be mentally drained by the time Mary will give birth, because I will be thinking day and night on how I could be a good father and be an example to Jesus. I should be Bible centered, Biblically right and focus, obtain God’s wisdom, knowledge and understanding. I also need to be filled with the Holy Spirit of God. Remember that 23 and ½ days is not enough for Joseph to think of so many things and many ways that he can do for that first CHRISTmas day. So as with those who are celebrating CHRISTmas with the wrong focus, wrong motive, and in a wrong person. What God want for us to do is to submit in His will and He will take care of the rest. (Matthew 1:24) “Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:”

WHAT WAS ON MARY’S MIND 25 DAYS BEFORE THE FIRST CHRISTmas?

MI DAILY DEVOTION
THURSDAY
WHAT WAS ON MARY’S MIND 25 DAYS BEFORE THE FIRST CHRISTmas?
(Genesis 3:15- 16) 15- “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. 16- Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.”

If Mary is by your side right now and she will give you the opportunity to interview her and ask her some personal questions; are you going to ask her this question? “Mary, what was on your mind 25 days before the first CHRISTmas?” And if I would want Mary to think the way I think right now; then, I would hear her say; “I was thinking about the first prophecy in the Bible right after the fall of man and I was thinking about the Savior of the world.” Or Mary might say; “I don’t even know what God has for me…” She might also think, “How did it happen?” Is this a miracle in the process, a fortune or what…?” “Why have you chosen me Lord and not Elisabeth or someone else?” And Mary may have said; “I can’t believe God was talking about me on His prophecy in Genesis 3:15- And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Those are all my speculations and imaginations, but the truth of the prophecy and its fulfillment will remain, even if you do not believe in CHRISTmas. The essence and Spirit of CHRISTmas was with Mary and Joseph 25 days before Christ’s birth.

(Galatians 4:4) “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,”
