Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 7:1 KJV
"My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee."

"Keep" will either have positive results or negative consequences, it depends on how it may have been used. But when the writer said; "Keep my words"; it may sound like a command, but it will surely have positive outcome, and spiritual blessings. It is the same advice many parents will say to their children. To keep the Lord's Word means to exercise or put it into action with the help of God and through the leading of the Holy Spirit. The Lord has the same question for us as what He had asked Moses thousands of years ago. "And the Lord said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws? Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 6:1 KJV
"My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger,"

True friends are those who will honestly tell you your weakest point or weaknesses, will side with you even the majority are against you, and stand with you in the midst of the storm and when everybody turned their back from you. They will rejoice in your victory and success, and they cry with you in your deepest moment. The only friend Who understands is Jesus- He loves you and cares for you. The next closest friends are your parents, siblings and your spouse. Trust, love, and care are my personal prescription to a lasting friendship. "A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother." (Proverbs 18:24 KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 5:1 KJV
"My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:"

The words "Bow" and "Vow" obviously are 2 different words although both almost sound the same. One thing for sure, you can use both words in a sentence; "Bow to Vow" or "Vow to Bow". Would you be willing to take a stand and bow down to God as you make a vow to Him for service? Or you want to vow to God that you will bow down to Him in worship with humility. The  Bible says; "When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. 5- Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay." (Ecclesiastes 5: 4- 5 KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 4:1 KJV
"Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding."

The Bible says; "Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord : and the fruit of the womb is his reward." (Psalm 127:3 KJV) We love our children and we want the best for them, but if they make bad decisions and judgment, especially if they're in their right age; it's beyond our control and I'm sure we will not be responsible to God for their messed and irresponsible actions. I prayed for all my children before they were born, while they were in my wife's womb, when they were born, even up to this very moment. I pray for their studies, their work, their family, their future (husband/wife) and their salvation and services to God. Children are precious and a blessing even if they rebel and resist you- God loves them more than you do. You are God's manager or steward of such treasures.- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 3:1 KJV
"My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:"

"Forget" is a common word used by people who want to make excuses. This may be the best word for those who need to pay their bills or debt. When you forgot something, you may try to forget about it; but there will always be inconvenient and unpleasant end or consequences. Forget about the temporal but never forget the eternal value of your soul and the promised of God in His commandments- the Word of God. Don't forget the love of God and His shed blood on the cross of Calvary. (I Corinthians 11:23- 34)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 2:1 KJV
"My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;"

The word "Receive" gives a person tingling or excitement.  It's one of the best word to hear especially if it's good and positive. For me, it's next to "free". We like to receive free stuff. Those two words if put together could make your day, or even years of goodness favorable unto eternity. However, it's only possible if it's about God, His Word- the Holy Bible or if you accept the free gift of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. How serious would you be of receiving a special gift from God? "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 1:1 KJV
"The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;"

"David" is a name associated with kings, Bathsheba, Solomon or the nation Israel- the Star of David. It is said in the Bible that "David was a man after God's own heart". He is very close to God, no wonder he draws people to him. He listened to his leader, personal guards, to the men and prophets of God, to his political advisers, even to his wife Bathsheba. It's a sign of humility and wisdom. I love this verse about David's behavior and attitude, notice; "And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the Lord was with him." (1 Samuel 18:14 KJV)
