Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion 

Proverbs 4:1 KJV

[1] Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.

The word "Children" will remind us of countless memories, wants, needs, childhoods, future, etc. We don't deserve our children not because of what they are and what they have accomplished, but because they are God's gift to us. My wife and I know that they all came from His (God's) heart and hands. The word "children" may also reminds us of spiritual things such as:

I- The children of the devil (The unbelievers)- John 8:44 KJV [44] Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

II- The children of God (The believers)- Romans 8:16 KJV [16] The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: Romans 8:17 KJV [17] And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him , that we may be also glorified together.- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Proverbs 3:1 KJV

[1] My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

"Law" or "Laws" and ordinances were given or proposed to maintain peace and order. It is also to help keep everyone to be in subject for safety, for their own good, and to help (the citizens) live in unity. The "law" to obey:

I- The "Law" of God- Exodus 24:12 KJV [12] And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them. (Nehemiah 10:29)

II- The "Law" of the land- Genesis 47:26 KJV

[26] And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part ; except the land of the priests only, which became not Pharaoh's. (Leviticus 24:22)

III- The "Law" of the church, organization, home, etc.- Numbers 15:16 KJV [16] One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you. Proverbs 6:20 KJV [20] My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:- By Ely Roque Sagansay

"Receive" is one of the sweetest word to hear especially if it's positive or good stuff shared to a recipient/s. It can also be devastating if it's a bad thing. As believers, we received God's gift, and...

I- God's Son, the Lord Jesus Christ- John 1:12 KJV [12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

II- God's Salvation- Acts 4:12 KJV [12] Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Proverbs 1:1 KJV

[1] The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;

Why Israel and the Jewish People are so different from other places and the Gentiles? Why are they so special from other nations or the rest of the world?

I- They (the Jews) are the chosen people of God- Deuteronomy 7:6 KJV [6] For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

II- The place was the Lord Jesus Christ's place of birth- Micah 5:2 KJV [2] But thou, Beth-lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

III- The protection, the promise, and provision of God is upon them- Joshua 1:5 KJV [5] There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.-  By Ely Roque Sagansay

Proverbs 31:1 KJV

[1] The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him.

"Mothers" are the most neglected and unappreciated in many homes. They (mothers) are also the most influential member in the family or home. 

I- Mothers are special- Deuteronomy 5:16 KJV [16] Honour thy father and thy mother, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

II- Mothers served with love- 1 Samuel 2:19 KJV [19] Moreover his mother made him a little coat, and brought it to him from year to year, when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.

III- Mothers are selfless and filled with sorrow- 1 Chronicles 4:9 KJV [9] And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Proverbs 30:1 KJV

[1] The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal,

The "3 P's" is what this whole world needs. God have worked, will work, and will still work through this- "3 P's"; although the law and the prophets were until John only, but we have preachers. (Luke 16:16; Matthew 11:13)

I- The people (the lost souls) that need the Word of God- Matthew 4:4 KJV

[4] But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

II- The (prophets) and preachers and Christians that spread the Word of God.- Acts 28:23 KJV [23] And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. (Matthew 28:18- 20; Romans 1:13- 16)

III- The prophecy (message, the gospel) that needs to be spread- 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV [3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; [4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:-  By Ely Roque Sagansay

Proverbs 29:1 KJV

[1] He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

"Remedy"- everything has remedy and everyone are looking for remedy for something... but there is only one remedy for our spiritual need and conditions.

I- The remedy for our sin- Romans 6:23 KJV

[23] For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

II- The remedy of our Savior (His death on the cross)- Romans 5:8 KJV [8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

III- The remedy is for our salvation - Romans 5:10 KJV [10] For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.- By Ely Roque Sagansay
