The attitude of
gratitude is a big deal to a country like the Philippines. A son or a daughter
who don't pay back their parents after they finished college and get a job may
be considered as ungrateful child. The children who made it in life financially,
and did not pay back their struggling parents will all be called
"ungrateful" children no matter what you have accomplished for the
community. Your involvement in any charity will be considered “Just a Show…” If
you were once helped by a friend or neighbor in some ways; somehow that
neighbor or friend may expect you to pay back, and if you don't; then you will
be tagged as ungrateful. Thus; gratefulness, gratitude, and being thankful is
indeed a big deal to many Filipinos. "1- O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. 2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works." (Psalm 105:1- 2)
