“7- But if
we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with
another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8- If
we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9- If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and
to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10- If we say that we have not sinned,
we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” (I John 1:7- 10)
Someone said; “To confess, it means to say it, to look at
it and deal with it as it is.” You don’t confess your sins to an individual or
religious leader. You confess your sins to God because we have sinned and
offended Him. When you confess your sins to God; it means you admit your
sinfulness and your marred spiritual condition. Charles H. Spurgeon wrote; “It
may be that you are unsaved. Why? Do you think the plan of salvation laid down
in our text is untrue? How can that be, when God has pledged His own word? Do
you think it is too easy? Why then are not saved?” (Morning and Evening-

The Bible
says; “1- In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of
Judaea, 2- And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
(Matthew 3:1- 2)
