"Why Are You So Fearful?"
“And he saith unto them, Why are ye
fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the
sea; and there was a great calm.”
(Matthew 8:26)
Do You Have Fear? Are you afraid? Who and what are you afraid of?
We
are living by faith in the mercy and grace of God. We cannot deny the fact of
our faith in God, but it’s also because of His grace, and mercy that we were
saved and serve Him. Jesus asked His disciples; “Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?” Here are
some of the bad results in having fear in your life. Fear can make you worry
about everything, fear can make you irrational, fear is one of the main cause
of why people are disturbed, fear make us get discourage easily, and will
definitely destroy us. Matthew Henry wrote; “It intimates how pleasing it is to Christ, and of how much
concern it is to ourselves, that we should live without carefulness. It is the
repeated command of the Lord Jesus to his disciples, that they should not
divide and pull in pieces their own minds with care about the world.” (The
Bible Collections)
Jesus said; “25-
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your
life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye
shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
(Matthew 6:25- 34)

Follow the Lord Whatever it Takes
“61- And
another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them
farewell, which are at home at my house. 62- And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to
the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:61- 62
KJV)
Put God’s
perspective on the top and in your priority list. God indeed wanted for us to
follow Him in everything that He’s doing in our lives, and in the lives of
those around us. To follow the Lord would mean giving your all to God
unselfishly and without any reservation. You follow God even if it would cost
you your family, fortune and fame. Follow the Lord whatever it takes according
to His Word and His will. (Luke 9:57- 62)
In
(I Corinthians 6:19- 20) “19- What?know ye not that your body is the temple of
the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20- For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in
your spirit, which are God's.”

We Will Pay What We Owe
“6- For for this cause pay
ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this
very thing. 7- Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is
due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. 8- Owe no
man anything, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath
fulfilled the law.” (Romans 13:6- 8 KJV)
Whether we like it or not, we will all be standing
in the presence God to give an account, and it can be through death or the
rapture. One thing for sure, we will pay what we owe God. It would be in hell
for eternity if you’re not saved. But Jesus paid for all our debts on the
cross.

Be Faithful to God
“O LORD, thou art my
God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful
things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.” (Isaiah 25:1
KJV)
People
will call you a fool, fanatic and other names because you identify yourself
with the Lord Jesus Christ. Is it foolishness, fanaticism or faithfulness when
you have to be in church for worship? I believe it’s the later. (Matthew 6:33)
You stand for what is right and for the truth. You say NO to sin, Satan and self gratification. Would you call it
foolishness or faithfulness to a loving God?
We trust God in every aspects of life, it means in everything; because
we know He is faithful and we want to remain faithful to Him.
Gideon
was a man who has no self worth and self esteem, yet he was used by the Lord;
because in spite of his personal issues, he trusted the Lord as he obeyed God.
To those who turned their back from following Gideon and God’s idea; it was
non-sense and foolishness to them. But we know that God has His own way of
doing things. “4- And the LORD said unto Gideon, The
people are yet too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them
for thee there: and it shall be, that of whom I say unto thee, This shall go
with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of whomsoever I say unto thee, This
shall not go with thee, the same shall not go.” (Judges 7:4 KJV)

We Can Overcome Discontentment
“1- Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the
LORD; praise him, O ye servants of the LORD. 2- Ye that stand in the house of
the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God. 3- Praise the LORD; for the
LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.” (Psalm 135:1
KJV)
We can overcome discontentment, complain, and
negative attitude towards life when we learn to praise the Lord for all the
things that He has done for us, in us and through us. We must focus on God and
in His courts by trusting in His goodness. His good name has not changed and
will never change. We must remember that we are His servants, and we don’t have
any authority over our lives.
11- Not that I speak in respect of want: for I
have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12- I know both how to
be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things I am
instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer
need. 13- I
can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." (Philippians
4:11- 13 KJV)

Love- The Cure for Hate
“6- For when
we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7- For
scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some
would even dare to die. 8- But God commendeth his love toward us, in that,
while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5: 6- 8 KJV)
The
love of God that was shed abroad in the believer’s heart is one of the reasons
why there is balanced in this sinful, hateful and wicked world.
Lydia
Maria Child said, “The cure for all the ills and wrongs, the cares, the sorrows
and the crimes of humanity, all lie in that one word ‘love’, it is the divine
vitality that everywhere produces and restores life.”
“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he
laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the
brethren.” (I John 3: 16 KJV)

The Prayer of the Pastors
"8- But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (Acts 1:8)
What is the
prayer of your pastor? What is your prayer as pastor? And what should be the prayer for every
pastors? One of the prayer of many pastors and ministers is that their ministry
or church would grow tremendously. They want to see growth in their
parishioners’ life or in their members' Christian life. But the problem is they
don't want to abide by the Lord's principles. The principle of reaching out or
witnessing. We sometimes wanted to reach out to our community "only"
with the expectation of growth.
"15- And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15 KJV)

Excellence for Christ
“And every man that
striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a
corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.” (I Corinthians 9:25 KJV)
Ortega Y. Gasset said: “Excellence means
when a man or woman asks of himself more than others do.” Mr. Lee Iacocca the
highly respected man in the car industry wrote; “The kind of people I look for
to fill top management spots are the eager beavers, the mavericks. These are
the guys who try to do more than they’re expected to do- they always reach.”
But Apostle Paul has a different perspective in doing things, he wrote; “17-
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God and the Father by him. 23- And whatsoever ye do, do it
heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;” (Colossians 3:17- 23)

Re- Set Your Goal If...
“I can do all things through Christ which
strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13)
Re-Set your goals
if you failed, but don’t quit. You may have just started to walk through the
aisle of the learning process. You’re not a loser as long as you keep on
keeping on! Burn that bridge named: “quit” or “looking back”. Those were the
failures of the Israelites when they went out of Egypt. “Many of life's failures are people who did not realize
how close they were to success when they gave up.” “I have not failed. I've
just found 10,000 ways that won't work.” Thomas Edison 1847-1931
The Bible says; “24- Know ye not
that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run,
that ye may obtain. 25- And every man that striveth for the mastery is
temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we
an incorruptible. 26- I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not
as one that beateth the air: 27- But I keep under my body, and bring it into
subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself
should be a castaway.” (I Corinthians 9:24- 27)

MI Daily Devotion: “Joy Comes in the Morning”
MI Daily Devotion: “Joy Comes in the Morning”: “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” (Psalms 30:...
“Joy Comes in the Morning”
“For his anger endureth but a
moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh
in the morning.” (Psalms 30:5 KJV)
Talking about “Joy comes in the
morning…” For me it means; “after the darkness or after the dark night”. After
the intense pain, then Joy comes in the morning… After the long wait in the
dark side of the night (dark side of life because of trials), then we have the
morning light or sun rise, the new day and new beginning. “I am weary of my crying: my throat is
dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.” (Psalms 69:3 KJV) God is always there to give us song in the
night. (Psalms 77:2- 6)

MI Daily Devotion: Church, Religion or Salvation?
MI Daily Devotion: Church, Religion or Salvation?: “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29) ...
Church, Religion or Salvation?
“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and
saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29)
The
broken relationship of God and man by sin in the Garden of Eden when man was
tempted by Satan can only be restored or tied back by the death and by the shed
blood of the Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the world.
According
to World English Dictionary, “religion” means:“belief
in, worship of, or obedience to a supernatural power or powers considered to be
divine or to have control of human destiny, 2-any formal or institutionalized
expression of such belief: the Christian religion, 3- the attitude and feeling
of one who believes in a transcendent controlling power or powers, 4- chiefly
RC Church the way of life determined by the vows of poverty, chastity,
and obedience entered upon by monks, friars, and nuns: to enter religion, 5-
something of overwhelming importance to a person: football is his religion, 6-
archaic:a. the practice of sacred ritual observances b. sacred rites and
ceremonies, [C12: via Old French from Latin religiō fear of the
supernatural, piety, probably from religāre to tie up, from re- +
ligāre to bind]” (Internet at Yahoo, World
English Dictionary)
“9- And
being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
10- Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which
had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” (I Peter 2:9- 10)

Prayer is our way of communicating with God
(I Thessalonians 5:17-18)
“17- Pray without ceasing. 18- In everything give thanks: for this is
the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
Prayer
is our way of communicating with God and it’s our way of expressing our love
for the Lord. The cops will say these words when they busted someone for the
crime they committed; “You have the right to remain silent…” or “Anything you
say may be used against you…” But it’s not true with the Lord our God. Once you
become a Christian, you always have the right to talk to God and talk to people
about God. If you committed sins, God wants you to confess your sins to Him and
ask God for forgiveness. He will not use any sin that you confessed in the
altar of the throne of grace against you as His child.
(Matthew
7:7- 8) “7- Ask, and it
shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto
you: 8- For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and
to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
