“Merry” may have been identified to Christmas, when Christ gave us His life, not to be a “merry go round” and die, but to share His eternal life, because that's how we were identified; it's not to eat, drink, and be merry; but to live this life for His glory.- Ecclesiastes 8:15 KJV Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun.
