Modern Day News and Future History Books
If you're like me, I always look at the future. It's not wrong to be futuristic especially if it concerns the fate of our children, grand children, and great grand children. We may not determine what’s ahead of us, but we can shape them by how we act and react to today’s event, circumstances, and opportunities.
What kind of leaders, and former leaders, president and former presidents, business mogul and former business moguls, etc. will our children's children say or read about them? Are they the marcher to righteousness and justice, the maieutic, or the bender? I wish they will be the person or persons in news to follow; not just for today’s line of good examples, but the picture and heroes or heroine of future leadership.
The sad part, they will be more confused on the thin line of lies and the truth based of what have been broadcasts in social media, on radio and television, and newspapers. The Media plays a big role in shaping our history that will will be used someday in our schools, colleges, and universities here and abroad. Our newscasters, journalists, reporters, and opinionated writers will leave a legacy- something people in the future will either love or hate.
Today could be the (Fake News’) day of fame and attack, but someday, highly intellectual readers and researchers will be hating and contemplating on the foolishness of lies, derogatory comments and remarks, and the unreasonable and foam based foundation of journalism. Writing and reporting about the president, the leaders or the nation without any concrete foundation of truth will give way to a bad precedence for the future generations, and to American and world history books that will be placed in future public libraries and educational system.
We may call it “Fake News” today, but others and the future generations will call it political manipulation of the Media, and lies, for the advantage and advancement of certain political party.
Legacy, honesty, and integrity can be passed on, so are lies, fake news, or made up news. Your conscience and conviction must be above and on the top of what you want to share to the public based on what you hear, what you see, and what really is available and truthful- not based on what a group of people or political party or parties are inclined to hear, to embrace in and believe in. Stop doing and sharing the wrong thing and start from the bottom and START IT RIGHT!
