Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 11:1 KJV
[1] A false balance is abomination to the Lord : but a just weight is his delight.

When you think of the word "false", you might be thinking of spiritual things such as false teachings, false prophets, or false doctrines. But you may also think of...

I- False accusations by man- Luke 19:8 KJV [8] And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. (Jude 1:9)

II- False accusations on Jesus- Luke 6:7 KJV [7] And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him. (Matthew 27:37; John 18:29)

III- False accusations by the devil- 2 Peter 2:11 KJV [11] Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. (Jude 1:29)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 10:1 KJV
[1] The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

We all felt heaviness in different ways, situations, conditions, and reasons; but for sure, we know the feelings of being in it. Be it emotional, physical or spiritual- we will all have to go through it as human.

I- We have heaviness in our hearts- (the burdens we carry and the pressures in life)- Ezra 9:5 KJV [5] And at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my heaviness; and having rent my garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands unto the Lord my God, (Job 9:27; Proverbs 12:25)

II- We have heaviness in our home (the means to provide the daily necessities and for the future of our children and reproach)- Psalm 69:20 KJV [20] Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.

III- We have heaviness for the house of God (the ministries and the lost world)- Philippians 2:26 KJV [26] For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 9:1 KJV
[1] Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:

Everyone has its own definition for "wisdom". The Bible, the writers, the philosophers, the ordinary people have their own meaning and ideas about wisdom. For me, wisdom is... The Word of God- it is an Inspiration to the Servants of God and His Saints, and it Delivers, Overcomes, and Molds them for His glory.- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 8:1 KJV
[1] Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?

To cry does not mean being girly or childish. To cry with those who cried, and to mourn with those who mourn is definitely emotionally healthy.

C- Cry or crying for blessings, because of burden/s or for the best- Exodus 2:23 KJV [23] And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. (Exodus 3:7; 5:8; II Chronicles 6:19)

R- Revival in our hearts, at home or in the house of God- Isaiah 57:15 KJVB[15] For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place , with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. (Psalm 85:6)

Y- Yearning (desire) for His presence, power and provision- Psalm 37:4 KJV [4] Delight thyself also in the Lord ; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 7:1 KJV
[1] My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.

The writer obviously claimed ownership in this verse. He knows the importance of God's Word and commandments, as well as his words of wisdom and commandments. He seems to share and urged his son to take the responsibility. The word "My" was not used for selfish reasons...

I- My son (It may refer to physical heritage or spiritual- son in the faith)- Philemon 1:10 KJV [10] I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:

II- My words (Keep my words is a reminder)- Deuteronomy 11:18 KJV [18] Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. (Deuteronomy 4:10)

III- My commandments (Lay up my commandments is a responsibility)- John 14:21 KJV [21] He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 6:1 KJV
[1] My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger,

Have you been stricken? It might sound like a strange word, but it's a reality to millions of people who are going through pain and unbearable suffering. Stricken means seriously affected by an undesirable condition or unpleasant feeling.  Synonyms- troubled, deeply affected, afflicted, struck, hit.

I- We were stricken to be steadfast for God- 1 Peter 5:9 KJV [9] Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

II- We may be stricken to strive and strengthen others for God- 1 Peter 5:10 KJV
[10] But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you .

III- We will be stricken to witness the suffering of Christ and to serve Him faithfully - 1 Peter 5:12 KJV [12] By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.-  By Ely Roque Sagansay

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 5:1 KJV
[1] My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:

I like writing and thinking of acronyms of words and sentences I read or see. It exercises my thinking process, and it, most of the times blessed my heart. And here's one of them; B-O-W (Bow).

I- B--- Believe or Trust- Acts 16:30-31 KJV
[30] And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? [31] And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. (Proverbs 3:5- 6)

II- O--- Overcomer -1 John 5:4 KJV [4] For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:5 KJV [5] Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

III- W--- Winner- Philippians 3:8 KJV [8] Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, (Romans 8:30- 31)- By Ely Roque Sagansay
