The Second Coming of Christ
“23- Then
if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24- For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show
great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive
the very elect. (Matthew 24:23 – 24
KJV)
We must understand
that there are 2 phases of the second coming of Christ. The first is the rapture
of the church and the second phase is the second coming of Christ where He will
reign for a thousand years. I hope and pray that we are all ready for the
coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let’s keep ourselves busy for the
work of the Lord, because we have but a very short time. Let’s work and get the
Lord’s business of reaching the lost going, because “Jesus is coming soon”.
Let them know that we are
looking forward on the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. It could be a godly and
urgent message to convey. It’s good to be an accomplished person, but I don’t
think it would be better than the Lord’s coming. An event in the future that is
something great like the second coming of Christ is the marriage of the Lamb.
“27-
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so
shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 30- And then shall appear the sign
of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn,
and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and
great glory.” (Matthew 24:27; 30
KJV)
Job’s Positive Attitude and Character Matters…
“14- For he performeth the thing that
is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.” (Job 23:14 KJV)
Job may not be your favorite Bible character,
but Job is one of the Bible characters with an excellent moral value and with
the right attitude in spite of his suffering. Regardless of what you know about
Bible characters or what you believe in a certain spiritual belief or teaching;
at the end of the day people will still be looking for the positive attitude in
you.
Job chapter twenty three and verse
fourteen is a positive outcome of what was in Job’s heart and mind. He may have
and verse fourteen is a positive outcome of what was in Job’s heart and mind.
He may have discerned God’s purpose in his life; thus Job said something positive
in a negative situation. It was different with the Israelites when they
complained to Moses, the Bible said; “3- And the
people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and
said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us
and our children and our cattle with thirst? 4- And Moses cried unto the LORD,
saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.” (Exodus 17:3- 4 KJV)

Enoch Left a Great Legacy (He had this testimony, that he pleased God)
“By faith Enoch was
translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had
translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he
pleased God. 6- But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that
cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:5- 6 KJV)
Christians are expected to put into practice the
seed of faith in his/her hearts. We must consistently live by them as what Paul
said; “The just shall live by faith…” Our faith in God, fellowship with the
believers, and our consistent obedience to the voice, and to the Word of God
are common practice. We need to live in God’s principles as stated in the
Scriptures. Enoch left a legacy that many Christians and pastors failed to
observed and do- “…for before his translation he had
this testimony, that he pleased God.” You really have to stand firm on what the
Bible said about sin and wickedness. And we must know the difference between
righteousness and unrighteousness, holiness and sinfulness. God will give us
the grace to identify and to stand firm with our faith in Him as we resist, oppose
and stand against sin.
Apostle Paul wrote; “(I Corinthians
15:57) “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord
Jesus Christ.”

How to Start Your Day with a Positive Attitude…
“Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be
established.” (Proverbs 16:3 KJV)
1- Pray and read the Holy Bible before you start your daily routine. (Psalms 119:147-149)
2- Positive mind set, on the go spirit, and trust on
God’s grace for the day. (Philippians 2:5)
3- Have peace of mind, and remember that the Joy of
the Lord is your strength. (Nehemiah 8:10)
4- Plan and prioritize your plan of the day.
(Matthew 6:33)
5- Please God and encourage someone. (Colossians
3:16-17; 23)
6- Purposely and prayerfully do something significant. (Philippians 4:1-8)
7- Potentials and opportunities could be God’s
opened doors for you, grab it and step on it. (Revelation 3:8)
8- Patiently do everything decently and in order.
Get it done in a right time and in a right way. (I Corinthians 14:40)
9- Problems are annoying, and it will come; but set
your focus to the right thing, and the right Person- the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Hebrews 12:1-3)
10- Place everything into the hands of the living
God… It means that you have to entrust everything to God. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Start it now!

Christ’s Command…
“2- Preach the word; be instant
in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and
doctrine. 3- For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having
itching ears; 4- And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall
be turned unto fables.” (II Timothy 4:1-8 KJV)
The work of the minister of the gospel
is unique and very special in the sight of God. It may not be as pleasing to
others who have no hope. But Christians should know and understand that
witnessing as commonly known as soul winning or evangelism was ordained and was
entrusted to every believer of the Lord Jesus Christ. We can tell the importance
of spreading the good news of salvation by the Lord’s command when He gave us
the great commission to “Go”. (Matthew 28:18-20).
But the Apostle Paul has a warning for
us Christians in (I Corinthians 9:16- 18 KJV) “For though I preach the gospel,
I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me,
if I preach not the gospel! 17- For if I do this thing willingly, I have a
reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto
me. 18- What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may
make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the
gospel. Paul’s warning was “woe unto him who preach not the gospel.”
If you are a Christian, you are Christ’s
minister and as a minister of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are
required to be faithful in the business of preaching the gospel.

God’s Peace and Your Devotion to Him
“And the peace of God,
which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through
Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7 KJV)
Matthew Henry wrote; “This peace will keep
our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus; it will keep us from sinning
under our troubles, and from sinking under them; keep us calm and sedate,
without discomposure of passion, and with inward satisfaction. Thou wilt
keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee, Isa. 26:3.” (The
Bible Collection, Matthew Henry)
“It’s easy to focus on your devotions rather than
the object of your devotions. Do your best to focus on God rather than the
discipline of daily devotions.”
“There’s a reason God wants us to devote ourselves
to prayer-it works. When you pray earnestly, God promises to answer in ways
that will amaze you.”
“Much of what happens in life, whether insignificant
or catastrophic, is beyond your control. Instead of being infuriated by your
own inability to alter events, be thankful that God is all-powerful and has
control over all things.” (God is in The Small Stuff” Bruce & Stan)
A Personal Relationship with God
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." -Hebrews 11:1
If you want to be bless by the Lord, then you have to bless His name. And it should start from knowing Him in your heart.
We know there is God, but you can limit God. You may know God in your minds, in your ways; but do you know God in a personal way?
How many of you knows your pastor? But do you know him as much as how his parents, his wife, and children know him?
"Relationship" is personal and that's what God wanted for us to have- A relationship that is very personal with Him. (John 1:12)
Once you have this personal relationship with God then success will follow, blessings will follow, victory will follow, and God's power and miracles will follow.
But it must start with your personal relationship with Him by faith.

God's Love and Purpose
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."(John 3:16 KJV)
God loves us and He wants to commune with us, that was His decision but we also have to decide for ourselves.
From birth until out last breathe, our lives was full, is filled, and will be covered with thousands of decisions and decision making process.
The Bible says; "Decisions, decisions in the valley of decisions."
The greatest decision you may make is when you will ask God to come into your life by faith. "Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God."
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1)

God Created Us with a Purpose
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." (Genesis 1:26- 27KJV)
God created us with a purpose. He gave us this life because God wants to give us something better than what we already have.
God created us because He wants to have an intimate relationship with us. We planned to have children because we want to enjoy them, love them, and give them a better life. Much more with God's purpose and desire for His creations...
God has something great for you and that is to give us life, eternal life or the life to come. John 3:16; John 14:1- 6.

Your Christ-like Life is Your Testimony
“3- Remembering without ceasing your
work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus
Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; 6- And ye became followers of us,
and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the
Holy Ghost:” (I Thessalonians 1:3; 6 KJV)
‘The church of the Thessalonians…’ as
Paul mentioned in verse one was a church that follows the leading of Christ,
the prompting of the Holy Spirit, and obviously the leadership of Apostle Paul.
Notice in verse six; “And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having
received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:” No wonder
Paul said: “So that ye were ensamples to all…” not only to the new believers
but to the churches and beyond. What a great testimony indeed.
Christians should walk the talk, and
talk the walk. We must live what we preach and preach the Word. You cannot fly an
airplane with just one wing and it is true with the birds; so as with our
Christian life. Our words should be balance with our works. We have to live the
Word of God and be an example to our unbelieving love ones, neighbors,
co-workers and friends. You cannot just have faith and kept it in your heart. You
have to exercise it, live with it, and live for it. “For from you sounded out
the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place
your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak anything.”
(I Thessalonians 1:8 KJV)

Resurrection is God's Manifestation to a Darkened World...
"10- Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 12- For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh." (2 Corinthians 4:10, 11 KJV)
His death, burial, and resurrection is the Lord's manifestation of His great love and grace for sinners.
We are the light of this darkened world where ever we may be. The life of the Lord Jesus Christ reflects on us by our living and good testimony.
Our spirit and our life must be in tune in His Spirit. Indeed, we are God's manifestation through Christ. The world will see the life and the good example of the Son of God in us.
Jesu said; "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16 KJV)

The LORD Who Heals…
“4- Surely he hath borne
our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of
God, and afflicted. 5- But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was
bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and
with his stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:4- 5 KJV)
It’s not a wrong, false or a bad doctrine and
teaching if your pastor believes in healing, because the Bible is filled of
God’s demonstrations of His healing power.
God showed us how He used His prophets and servants in healing His
children by faith. Even the Lord Jesus Christ performed miracles of healing
through different people, in different places and in different occasions. He is
able to heal us of our physical sickness. We have read over and over in the
Bible how the Lord has healed people who were sick physically. God healed
people like blind Bartemaeus who came to Jesus for healing. “47- And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he
began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. 48- And
many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great
deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. 49- And Jesus stood still, and
commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of
good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. 50- And he, casting away his garment,
rose, and came to Jesus. 51- And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt
thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I
might receive my sight. 52- And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath
made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in
the way.” (Mark 10:47- 52 KJV)

God's Love for Sinners
“15-
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.16-
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.17- For God sent
not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him
might be saved.” (John 3:15-17 KJV)
God’s Greatest Love- “For God so loved
the world…” God loves you and me no matter who we are and what our background
is… There is no greater love than this…
God’s Greatest Gift- “…that he gave his
only begotten Son,” God gave us His only Son to die for our sins and for our
salvation. It could have been us who was crucified and died on the cross for
our own sins, but Jesus took all the shame and the blame. That’s the main reason
why we have holy week. It was because of what Christ did for us on the cross of
Calvary.
God’s Greatest Promise- “…that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” The promise of
God for everyone who will believe in the Lord Jesus Christ is eternal life in heaven.
If you humble yourself, and ask Him for forgiveness of you sins; God indeed
will save you through Christ. The Bible says; “Neither is there salvation in
any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby
we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 KJV)

The Gospel for Our Salvation
“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received,
how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4- And that he
was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” (I Corinthians
15:3- 4 KJV)
What
is the meaning of the word gospel?
According to Apostle Paul; gospel means the death, burial and resurrection of
the Lord Jesus Christ according to the Scriptures. When you believe on what
Christ did on the cross more than 2,000 years ago for eternal life, it made it
a full gospel. It means it fulfills its true meaning in people’s lives when
they accept it by faith in Christ and in His death, burial and resurrection
according to the Scriptures. Apostle Paul wrote: “For
by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift
of God: 9- Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8- 9
KJV) Believing in Christ for eternal life may not be a perfect doctrine for
many; but that’s what the Bible says… It was because of the finished work of
Christ on the cross. There will be no Christmas, Holy Friday and Easter Sunday
celebrations if not for the Lord Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death on the
cross.
The Bible says; “13- For
whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14- How then
shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they
believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a
preacher? 15- And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written,
How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring
glad tidings of good things! 16- But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For
Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17- So then faith cometh by
hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:13- 17 KJV)

The Potter and the Clay- To Shape and Re-shaped
“1- The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD,
saying, 2- Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause
thee to hear my words.” (Jeremiah 18: 1- 2 KJV)
God was teaching Jeremiah how the Lord would shape
the nation as well as an individual. Jeremiah watched this potter for a period
of time, and that was his learning process. You may have heard of how Paul
showed and trained young Timothy on how to be a true servant of God. Paul
trained Timothy how to be a witness and a disciple. God took him to His place-
God’s place and made him learn the Lord’s warning, the Lord’s will, the Lord’s
process, and God’s way of making a nation or an individual acceptable to Him.
For Elijah, God’s place for him was the brook
Cherith. You may have heard of the partnership, and the process Elisha went
through; it was the process under Elijah’s leadership with God’s blessing. For
you, it could be your job, your loved ones or something that you’re going
through right now. God may use or have already used one of them to shape and
reshaped you as a Christian. It was all a learning process the good way or
God’s way.
In verse four it says; “And the vessel that he made
of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another
vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.”

The Holy Bible- God's Manual for Everyone
“Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he
that hateth reproof is brutish.” (Proverbs 12:1 KJV)
A friend of mine said; “The most painful part when
buying something that needs to be set up or upgrade is the reading, and the following
of the instructions that comes with it.” In spiritual sense, it’s about
obtaining God’s wisdom through His Word. If you’re buying a car, you need to
read the instructions or manual so you would not put your life, the life of
your passengers, and others on the road in jeopardy. You have to know your car,
the engine, and everything on the dashboard, and most of all- you drive safely
and defensively. If you want to know God in a deeper way, you have to read His
instructions which can be found in the Holy Bible.
In (proverbs 12: 1) “Whoso
loveth instruction loveth knowledge…” You will not like what it says if you
continue reading… Notice what it says in verse 1- “…but he that hateth reproof
is brutish.” Let me say it in my own words or let me paraphrase it… “He who
hates rebukes is like a fool or someone who lacks understanding…”
The Holy Bible is God’s manual and guide
to us. We must read it, live it, and practice it.

"Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands."(Proverbs 14:1 KJV)

Surrendered and Renewed
“1-
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of
God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,
which is your reasonable service. 2- And be not conformed to this world: but be
ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that
good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:1- 2 KJV)
We have a duty as God’s children to live
a godly life. The Lord saved us by His grace, separated us from sin by His
blood, and God helped us overcome the lusts of the flesh, and the worldly
pleasures that displeased our Lord by His power. The Christians who surrendered
their lives to God will always be determined to be victorious and be a winner
for God. But it will never be a prerequisite to God’s acceptance in pleasing
Him or in giving Him the honor and the glory.
The Scriptures says; “For ye are bought with a price: therefore
glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.” (I Corinthians
6:20 KJV)

"And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever." (Revelation 22:5 KJV)
I wrote this song when I was so stressed out as a pastor and the administrator of our school in the Philippines. I want to dedicate this devotional to Rev. and Mrs. Orlan Briones who just lost their daughter. Condolences from Mi Daily Devotion and the Sagansay Family.
Ten Thousand Years in heaven we'll just be started
Ten Thousand Years with friends and love ones and Angels too
Ten Thousand Years of love and goodness
All through out eternity
Ten Thousand Years, Ten Thousand Years
Ten Thousand Years of joy and gladness
In heaven we'll sing glory to our God
We'll sing and praise the name of Jesus
All through out eternity
Ten Thousand Years, Ten Thousand Years
There will be no tears, no death, and sorrow in heaven with Jesus
Our God shall wipe away all tears from our eyes up there
Our God shall reign as King of kings
All through out eternity

You Have to Delight, Desire, and Exercise Discipline
Delight
thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” (Psalms
37:4 KJV)
What
is your desire? Do you have temporary or lifetime desires? People have desire,
but they don’t have discipline. You may desire something but if you don’t have
the discipline to get to where you want to be in life, it could just be a
wishful thinking. Do you have discipline on how you should spend your time, your
money, and your resources?
We
can have our desires fulfilled in our life if we learn to delight in God. The
words delight, desires and discipline are inseparable. We can exercise or use
those 3 words in our eating habits, sleeping habits, working habits, spending
habits, reading habits, praying habits, Bible reading habits. A good Christian
will delight in a good God, and be disciplined for a good cause, so a good
desire will come to pass.
We
need to discipline ourselves to delight in the Lord and desire for the Lord.
Apostle Paul wrote; “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one
receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.” (II Corinthians 9: 24 KJV)

Saint Peter Encounter with Jesus
“When Jesus came into the
coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say
that I the Son of man am? 16- And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the
Christ, the Son of the living God.” (Matthew 16:13; 16 KJV)
We experienced failures, but what do we do with it?
What do you do when your brother is wounded? Do we minister to our wounded
soldier? When you do things for God, people sometimes will always have
something to say either positive or negative. Peter failed the Lord, But God
restored him. And here in this unforgettable day in the life of Peter during
his encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ made a great declaration of the deity
of the Son of God. It could cover up all his failures, his arrogance, his anger
problem, and distorted mind set.
That’s what happens to a soul who recognized and
accepted the Lord as their Savior, and put the Lord’s Kingship in proper
perspective in his own Christian life. We may fail, we may get wounded or
tempted, but don’t forget Jesus is still in His throne, and He is the King of
kings and Lord of lords. You may fail, but don’t fail to recognize such failure
with humility in the throne of His grace. “But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat
down on the right hand of God;” (Hebrews 10:12 KJV)

God’s Love
“Beloved, let us love one
another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and
knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” (I
John 4:7- 8 KJV)
“Love” I believe is God’s greatest nature. God love
us in spite of our sinfulness. God did not look at us as a thing to love. God
look at us as a human being, although we’re unworthy of His great love, yet He
loves us unconditionally. He could have loved the universe and its beauty or He
could have loved the deepest depth of the sea and its beauty, yet God choose to
love us. He even could have loved His other creations like the animals and
natures, but God choose to love us. And because of His great love for us, He
gave us His only begotten Son.
The Bible says; “For God
so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John
3:16)
