02- 25- 11 MI DAILY DEVOTION (Hebrews 11:1- 3)
FAITH AND GOD’S LOVE
1- “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2- For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3- Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
Faith is God’s gift to mankind as well as love. When God demonstrated His love toward us, His desire for us is to exercise our faith for His love to be profitable for us. His love will always be there for us and He wants everyone to receive His love by receiving Him by faith. The acronym F-A-I-T-H:
F- Follow God and His Word by making your faith effective and a working faith with your positive response to His Word. (Romans 5:1- 2) 1- “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2- By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
A- Act of faith by believing in the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ which His death burial and resurrection according to the Scriptures. And you can only do that by the grace of God. (I Corinthians 15:1- 4) 1- “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2- By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3- For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4- And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” We need the…
I- Inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God and by hearing the Inspired Word of God preached which will lead you to take a step of faith. (Romans 10:17- 18) 17- “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. 18- But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.”
T- Trusting God and trusting in what He has done on the Cross of Calvary more than 2,000 years ago. Therefore, it is important for us to look up to God with the promise of that blessed hope.
H- Hope in the glorious appearing of our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ. (Titus 2:13- 14) 13- “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14- Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”
Do you have faith in God and His Word? (Romans 8:24) “For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?”
