The origin of this principles or philosophy was from the Lord. It's the principle of "Sowing and Reaping". "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you..." Or "Do not do unto others that which you don't want others will do unto you.
"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets." (Matthew 7:12 KJV)
