Mi Daily Devotion

(I Samuel 30:6) “And David was greatly distressed; for the people

spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was

grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David

encouraged himself in the LORD his God.”

To have a wrong attitude toward God when you’re discourage is

not the answer to whatever situation you are in. David did the right

thing when he wept, and cried hard before he took a moved or

made the decisions for his people and his family. Making any minor

or major decisions when you’re discourage could be catastrophic.

What should be the attitude of Christians toward discouragement?

Don’t be afraid, but be courageous and exercise what Joshua said;

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou

shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do

according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy

way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9- Have

not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not

afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with

thee whithersoever thou goest.” (Joshua 1:8-9)
