One of the most popular old proverbs in the Philippines is- "You can give without loving but you cannot love without giving". It's true in every relationships and it's true in Christ and the truth of the Word of God. The Lord knows that the one "would be struggle" of men in marriage relationship is the issue of loving the disobedience, not submissive or the unfaithful wives. Apostle Paul has a different prescription for the wives in the same chapter. Apostle Paul used Christ and the church as his analogy because of the intensity in its commitment, and seriousness of such relationship; check out what he says; "28- So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29- For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:" (Ephesians 5:28, 29 KJV)
