The Fivefold Purposes in I John

"That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;" (1 John 1:1 KJV)

1-  "That you may have fellowship with us..." (1: 3)
2-   "That your joy may be full..." (1: 4)
3- " That you sin not." ( 2: 1)
4- "That you may know that he have eternal life. (5: 13)
5- "That you may believe on the name of the Son of God. " (5:  13)

My Redeemer Liveth

"For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day." (2 Timothy 1:12 KJV)

We can be sure of our salvation because our Savior is alive and He is God. The saving grace of God was wrapped in the unchanging love of the Father through the death of His Son- the Lord Jesus Christ. The shed blood is the river of love which flows from Calvary to humanity from generations to generations.

"25- For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:  26- And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:  27- Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me. " (Job 19:25-27 KJV)

God's Promises to Joshua

"There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." (Joshua 1:5 KJV)

At the end of the day, God will always be there on the top of your career, on the top of your life, on the top of your success and will always be on the top of everything . He is even on the top of your circumstances and your enemy- the devil. I love the encouraging words of God to Joshua after the death of Moses.- "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." (Joshua 1: 9

It's God's Talents for You

"20- And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21- His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.' (Matthew 25:20- 21 KJV)

What are your treasures? The question could be who are your treasures? Do you manage your treasures according to God’s perspective, according to God’s will for us, and according to His Word? We cannot afford to waste another time, talent and treasure while we are here on earth living for our Jesus. Sometimes, if I looked back from my younger years, and would think of how much time and resources I have wasted as a youth; I get disappointed, and I felt bad for myself although I know it’s wrong to live in the past. But it happens every day, every hour and every minute. Young people are not just wasting their time but talents and resources. I believe that every Christian should know, memorize and live God’s Word.

Jesus said; “19- Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20- But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21- For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” (Matthew 6:19- 21 KJV)

"Call Unto Me..."

"2- Thus saith the  Lord  the maker thereof, the  Lord  that formed it, to establish it; the  Lord  is his name; 3- Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."(Jeremiah 33:2, 3 KJV)

This was not the words of someone who happens to be in power or authority. It was not a promised from  someone influential or in politics; but a promise from our Lord and maker. He is asking us for one thing with a greater thing in return. He is asking us to "call unto Him..." for an answer to our problems. He is challenging us to pray, so we can see great and mighty things which are beyond our understanding and expectations. He wants to work in us and through us, so we could be His living miracle in the midst of unbelieving and darkened world. Call Him today!

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" (Matthew 7:7 KJV)

Christ Centered Life

You can't Live a Christ- Centered unless you accept Christ first and foremost in your heart as your Savior and Lord.

"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." (John 15:4, 5 KJV)

From the Top of Our Heads, to Our Hearts, in Our Hands, and in Our Whole Being... Jesus must be in the center.

"For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before them. Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest."(Ecclesiastes 9:1, 10 KJV)

Abiding in Christ Means Living a Christ Centered Life.

Who Would Care Anyways?

Yes, who will care if you have Masters, Phd's, a good savings and a vast of wealth?

Who would care if you are an accomplished businessman or businesswoman, an accomplished minister or community organizer?

Who will care enough if you're in need or you're discourage, depress or insolvent?

Who would care if you're driving a luxury car, living in a 7 bedrooms house or respected by millions?

Will they care if you're famous, friendly and accommodating?

Let me share to you the prayer of David in the book of Psalms: "When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me. I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul. I cried unto thee, O Lord : I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living. Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I." (Psalms 142:3-6 KJV)

Outline for You to Use...

"Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy."  (Psalms 99:5 KJV)

*The Importance of Praise and Worship.
*The Inspiration from the Word of the Lord to His people.
*The Instruction of the Works of the Lord in His People.
*And the Wealth and Goodness of Our Lord and Savior for All People and Nations.

"3- Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. 4- For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth. 5- He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord." (Psalm 33:3-5 KJV)

Fear or Courage?

"7- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck."(Proverbs 1:7-9 KJV)

Godly knowledge, wisdom, instructions and the good advised of our parents should not be neglected. The Word of God is the only source of divine wisdom... We need to be in touch through His Word.

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7 KJV)

Ambition

Ambition is like a horse with a carriage, it carries a burden while it travels down the trod.

Ambition is what made me work hard to my temporal destinations

Ambition will either make you or break you.

Joshua in the Making

"Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying, Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel." (Joshua 1:1, 2 KJV)

1- The Mourning is Over for Joshua
Death- the death of Moses brought in a new leadership for the Israelites.

Discouragement- must be a stepping stone and must not put us down.

Depression- is the common outcome from death in the family.

We are His Light

"4- In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5-And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." (John 1:4, 5 KJV)

If Jesus is the light of the world. There's no one else who could give us life but Him. It's clear as crystal- if you have Jesus you have life, you have the light and the truth of God. Religion is not the light, the founders of any belief or religious group is not the light and not even  the church. The world is in darkness, in turmoil and in confusion, but amidst all the negative things that happens in our lives; we refused the light of the world- Jesus. And the sad thing is we refused to be the light bearer. Jesus said, "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying,  I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." (John 8:12 KJV)

When Your Sailing is in Danger Who Do You Believe In?

"Now when much time was spent, and when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now already past, Paul admonished them, And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives. Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul." (Acts 27:9-11 KJV)

You sail, you toiled and work hard for a purpose, but did you pray, and did you entrust everything to God?

There are those who prophesies like Paul. Some are persecutors and oppressors, while others are performers in the sight of God and man. But what is your part in God's kingdom? We need to stand together in our journey to God's kingdom. We must be kingdom focus.

When Little Things Makes a Great Difference

"And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;" (Colossians 3:17, 23 KJV)

In the Old Testament- God did not start big in His creation of mankind. He started with Adam. Then He created a woman in which the reproduction of mankind multiplied after He made them one in marriage.

The Lord honored the little child who partnered with king Saul and killed the giant Goliath. (I Samuel 17) The little child with 5 bread and 2 fishes was used by the Lord to feed thousands of hungry people.

"Little is much when God is in it!
Labor not for wealth or fame.
There’s a crown—and you can win it,
If you go in Jesus’ Name.

Does the place you’re called to labor
Seem too small and little known?
It is great if God is in it,
And He’ll not forget His own." (Hymn.com- Google)

The Best Mothers

"When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also." (2 Timothy 1:5 KJV)

"The loneliest place in the world is the human heart when love is absent." (E. C. Mc Kenzie)

Mothers who made an influenced in the life of their children.

Hannah the mother of Samuel. The prayerful mother. (I Samuel 1: 1- 31)

The widow during Elijah's times. The faithful, obedient and responsible mother- (I Kings 17:9-16)

The widow who suffered but remained faithful. (II Kings 4:1-7)

Mary the mother of Jesus in the flesh. Matthew chapter one and Luke chapter two.

Freedom!

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (John 8:36 KJV)
Freedom!

Nelson Madela was imprisoned for 25 years, but when he became the president of his country, he let those who opposed him and imprisoned him work for him. People are seeking it all over the world. We want freedom from political oppression. We want freedom from dictatorship and authoritarian rule. Millions are struggling to have financial freedom. Millions are striving to be free from sin, and from the devil's deception. (Romans 3:10; 23)

You are Wonderfully Made

The Psalmist said;
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. (Psalms 139:13-16 KJV)

The world is looking for temporal profit and gain. The world is more conscious of what they can gain for today and not for eternity. But whatever personal gain an individual may have acquired- nothing's compared to the price of his/her soul.

" For the Son of Man is Come to Seek and to Save  that which was Lost." (Luke 19:10 KJV)

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. (Luke 15:7 KJV)

The Secret of Christ-like Life

The Secret to Your Success

1- Prayer by Using the Seven (7) Eleven Principle. "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? (Matthew 7:7-11 KJV)

2-Daily Bible Reading
"If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."
(John 15:7 KJV)
"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." (Joshua 1:8 KJV)

3- Attending Church Worship
"Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved." (Acts 2:41-47 KJV)

MI Daily Devotion: Worship the Lord Our King

MI Daily Devotion: Worship the Lord Our King: “1- The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved. 2- The LORD is great in Zion; and ...

Worship the Lord Our King

“1- The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved. 2- The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people. 3- Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.” (Psalm 99:1- 3 KJV)

God should be the foundation of all religions and beliefs, but we formed our own religion, our own gods and belief. Christianity is laid in the truth that the Lord our God is the King of kings. He is the only Savior of the world and we believe in the Holy trinity. God governs the world by his providence and sovereign will. He governs the church by his grace, and both by his Son. We must believe not only that the Lord lives, but that the Lord reigns. “The LORD reigneth and blessed be the Rock of my salvation” said the Psalmists.

God is the one who rules the universe, and if He is the ruler; then He deserves and is worthy of our worship. If you picture in your mind the greatness of God in verse 1, it indicates that we are unworthy of Him. To worship Him is an honor for us as Christians; it is our opportunity, and duty. The psalmist’s wrote; “The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.” (Psalms 99:1 KJV)
