Worship the Lord Our King

“1- The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved. 2- The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people. 3- Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.” (Psalm 99:1- 3 KJV)

God should be the foundation of all religions and beliefs, but we formed our own religion, our own gods and belief. Christianity is laid in the truth that the Lord our God is the King of kings. He is the only Savior of the world and we believe in the Holy trinity. God governs the world by his providence and sovereign will. He governs the church by his grace, and both by his Son. We must believe not only that the Lord lives, but that the Lord reigns. “The LORD reigneth and blessed be the Rock of my salvation” said the Psalmists.

God is the one who rules the universe, and if He is the ruler; then He deserves and is worthy of our worship. If you picture in your mind the greatness of God in verse 1, it indicates that we are unworthy of Him. To worship Him is an honor for us as Christians; it is our opportunity, and duty. The psalmist’s wrote; “The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.” (Psalms 99:1 KJV)
