On my first week in California years ago, a friend of mine warned me not to take seriously every promise a person would tell me... And he said; "Ely, remember words are cheap" it is true to those who don't have the "Word of Honor". Or to those who don't honor their words.
There are those who promised of doing negative things or of revenge and it did not happen (Praise God), and there are those who promised of positive things or good things with the same results (Too Bad). It's either they were not serious about it or was hindered by circumstances. But the Lord is way different from us. He is able to perform what He promised from hundred of years ago. Imagine if God would do differently from what He said in His Word- The Holy Bible. This world would totally be in chaos, hopelessness, and misery. It means everything in this world will never be right! And there will be no hope, salvation, forgiveness and blessings for us. Apostle Peter says; "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
