We all wanted to be praise, we want a tap on our back, we desire commendation, and we long for people to appreciate what we are doing or what we have done.

But all the praise belongs to the King of kings. Accept the “Thank you” but give and offer all the to the throne of God.-  Revelation 19:5 KJV And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

Sometimes praise to God demands or requires sacrifices.- Genesis 22:9-10 KJV And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. [10] And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
