Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion

"Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding." (Proverbs 4:1 KJV)

In this version it says; "Hear, O sons, a father's instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain insight," (Proverbs 4:1 ESV) Notice the words "be attentive" in English Standard Version. Indeed, we need to be attentive not just in our father's instructions, but also in the preachings of the Word of God.

It's odd because too many people come to church for worship and to hear God's Word, and yet distractions on the gadgets and of friends and other things are becoming their main concern. To be attentive and to gain insight at church or from our father's instructions are becoming a secondary or the last priority in people's lives. (Revelation 2:11; 17)- By Ely Roque Sagansay
