Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
"My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;" (Proverbs 2:1 KJV)
The endearment Solomon used to address his own son, and remind those who are close to him; "My son..." And he proceeded with these words; "So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;" (Proverbs 2:2 KJV)
This may sound awkward when talking to a mature or adult son. But this is true and straight to the point. We must learn to listen to the God- given wisdom of those who have more experienced, and older people. What does the writer mean to "hide"? In other versions of the Bible it means to "treasure".
