Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion

"My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;" (Proverbs 2:1 KJV)

The endearment Solomon used to address his own son, and remind those who are close to him; "My son..." And he proceeded with these words; "So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;" (Proverbs 2:2 KJV)

This may sound awkward when talking to a mature or adult son. But this is true and straight to the point. We must learn to listen to the God- given wisdom of those who have more experienced, and older people. What does the writer mean to "hide"? In other versions of the Bible it means to "treasure". May we treasure, exercise, and live the Word of God. (Psalm 19:7- 11)- By Ely Roque Sagansay
