Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

"A wise son heareth his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke." (Proverbs 13:1 KJV)

The last word from this verse could be the hardest thing to do to someone and also the most difficult thing to swallow with pride. To be rebuked by someone means to accept your fault or mistake and it's not easy. But it can be very helpful if you accept rebuke in the spirit of meekness. Moses was a great leader but he was rebuked by his father in law. (Exodus 18:14- 24) King David was rebuked by Nathan the prophet. (II Samuel 12) King Saul was rebuked by Samuel the prophet. (I Samuel 13:7- 13) But Jesus rebuked the winds and the sea. (Mark 4:35- 41)- By Ely Roque Sagansay
