Luke 2:7 KJV And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

Imagine the place where Jesus was born with the animals around Him. In that little stinky room with no light but the bright Star from heaven; but the presence of Jesus made that little stinky room filled with the aroma of the Holy Spirit and of God the Father. The presence of Jesus made that little stinky room beautiful. The dirty and smelly place where the Savior was born was the start of life and sweet smelling savour to God as His only sacrifice for our sins. - Ephesians 5:2 KJV And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

The heart of Christmas is centered to the new born King, and it's foundation is based on the heart of the Scriptures, (John 3:16) its heartbeat came from the heart of God. Christmas is coming! Many people will remember the star, the shepherds or Mary. But will they remember the true 'Stellar'? He is the Star from heaven (the Son of God), the Lord Jesus Christ. He was born in a manger, lived in a destitute city called Nazareth. He died of crucifixion, buried in a borrowed tomb, He rose from the dead to reign as King of kings.- Acts 4:10 KJV Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

It is true that you cannot find the word “Christmas” in the scriptures, but the essence, the truth, the event, and the elements of Christmas are as true as the parting of the Red Sea. There’s nothing wrong with cultures and traditions, and it’s not wrong to practice or celebrate Christmas in the church or with your love ones. - Luke 2:11 KJV For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Modern Day News and Future History Books

Modern Day News and Future History Books

If you're like me, I always look at the future. It's not wrong to be futuristic especially if it concerns the fate of our children, grand children, and great grand children. We may not determine what’s ahead of us, but we can shape them by how we act and react to today’s event, circumstances, and opportunities.

What kind of leaders, and former leaders, president and former presidents, business mogul and former business moguls, etc. will our children's children say or read about them? Are they the marcher to righteousness and justice, the maieutic, or the bender? I wish they will be the person or persons in news to follow; not just for today’s line of good examples, but the picture and heroes or heroine of future leadership.

The sad part, they will be more confused on the thin line of lies and the truth based of what have been broadcasts in social media, on radio and television, and newspapers. The Media plays a big role in shaping our history that will will be used someday in our schools, colleges, and universities here and abroad. Our newscasters, journalists, reporters, and opinionated writers will leave a legacy- something people in the future will either love or hate.

Today could be the (Fake News’) day of fame and attack, but someday, highly intellectual readers and researchers will be hating and contemplating on the foolishness of lies, derogatory comments and remarks, and the unreasonable and foam based foundation of journalism. Writing and reporting about the president, the leaders or the nation without any concrete foundation of truth will give way to a bad precedence for the future generations, and to American and world history books that will be placed in future public libraries and educational system.

We may call it “Fake News” today, but others and the future generations will call it political manipulation of the Media, and lies, for the advantage and advancement of certain political party.

Legacy, honesty, and integrity can be passed on, so are lies, fake news, or made up news. Your conscience and conviction must be above and on the top of what you want to share to the public based on what you hear, what you see, and what really is available and truthful- not based on what a group of people or political party or parties are inclined to hear, to embrace in and believe in. Stop doing and sharing the wrong thing and start from the bottom and START IT RIGHT!

Christmas opened the door to Christ’s death on the cross of Calvary. The cross of Calvary closed the door of the Old Testament laws and ceremonial laws. The burial of Jesus Christ in the tomb opened the door for the burial of sin, and the sting of death with Him for 3 days. Christ’s resurrection opened up the grave for the saints and for our salvation. One day, the heaven’s gate will open for all His saints during the rapture. (I Corinthians 15:1- 5; I Thessalonians 4:13- 18) Apostle Paul wrote; “And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.” (Romans 5:11 KJV)

“I was privileged to visit Israel for the first time many years ago. I was excited and thrilled as I walked through the streets of Nazareth to visit the place of our Lord where He once lived. Nazareth was the hometown of Jesus. No wonder He was called Jesus of Nazareth in the scriptures. I remember standing on the hillside near Capernaum Peter’s hometown. I could almost hear Jesus sharing the Beatitudes. I imagined Jesus sailing on the Sea of Galilee. I could feel Jesus’ presence and heard His words and sensed His authority over the storm when He calmed the storm with His words.

Outside the city of Sychar, I could almost see Jesus bringing a troubled woman to the living water. Jerusalem is the holy city and it was called the city of David, home to the temple and the place wherein Jesus came as a sacrifice for our sin (John 1:11; Romans 5:8; 6:23). I can feel the agony while I was walking in the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus sweat drops of blood. I can feel the pain and the love of God as we climbed up to Mount Calvary where Jesus died on the cross.” Reverend Jimmy Jones, First Baptist Church of Trenton- Michigan.

Mi Daily Devotion

If there is no joy in your worship and service to God, you may have the wrong motive or in a wrong church.

Mi Daily Devotion

Some Christians spend more time criticizing and gossiping about their pastor and his family, less prayer for them and the church.

Mi Daily Devotion

The church who wanted justice and fairness must also give double honor to their pastor.

Mi Daily Devotion

IF the church members fall, they run to their pastor for help, they run away from the pastor or church if he fell into sin.

Mi Daily Devotion

The churches have no idea what their pastors are going through, the pastors must know the state of their flocks.

Mi Daily Devotion

The church is not a machine of which you can shut off if it does not go your way or if  it's not working. It's a living organism.

Mi Daily Devotion

Church engrafting is only good if it's engrafted to that which is alive and well. It must be engrafted to a living organism.

The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

The law or the Word of God you may despise it now, but you can't get out of its truth and life, could you ever discern what’s right and wrong, if you take it off your throne? May you trust Him now His love to grow, and do what’s best for Him. - Isaiah 30:21 KJV And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Whether it's little lies, white lies or big lies; there is no difference between them because they fall in one category or standard in the sight of God- lies. Sports Entertainment or Sports and Protests?

You buy your tickets to watch sports with family or friends. You want to relax and have fun. You want to forget about all the baggage in politics and the issues the country has. You want to leave your own baggage at home and be entertained and get hyped with the game. You want to enjoy life for a moment. Only to be burdened and be distorted by an inconsiderate and disrespectful athlete/s (not to the FLAG or National Anthem), but to the fans by protesting against whatever baggage, issues in life, and personal conviction the athlete/s have had. Now you'll come home with that additional baggage and issues in your mind. What do you think?

President Trump and NFL Will Not Come Out a Winner

President Trump and NFL Will Not Come Out a Winner!

America is a great country. It is great because of its foundation- God, the Holy Bible, and its generosity even to those who stand against her. The diversities; the mixtures of red, white, black, brown and yellow skins in every corners of its States made it beautiful. It has bad and great history, as much as it produces bad, good, great and intellectual citizens just like any other countries. Americans have rescued countries after countries that are under dictatorships, genocides, human abuses, and hunger and starvation. It goes to war with different skin color under its military battalion or company. It runs its businesses, the hospitals, the courtrooms, schools or universities, etc. with diversities or people from different ethnic backgrounds. Churches are like Christmas lights glowing with Christ’s light and different skin colors. But, what’s wrong with the United States of America?

Is it because Americans can’t get rid of its own conflict and bad history in the past such as the civil war, slavery, or even just the recent election results? Is it because of the bad treatment of others due to the color of their skin? Is religion the real issue? There is no distinction between Jews, Muslims, Christians or Catholics- we are all the same in God’s sight. We will all die, rot in our grave, and we will all be responsible to God on judgment day. We will not and will never overcome unless we educate our children; not of the negative history of our country in order for them to revolt or put a line of bifurcation to others different from them. But we will educate them, for them to learn and pursue their dreams without hatred and bitterness of our past.

Respect, honor, gratitude, dignity, and integrity should be instilled in every citizen. Respect to those that are in authorities, respect the FLAG, and our National Anthem to which our veterans and soldiers have fought and fight for and some of the tax payers money have been spent. Respect others not because of their skin color but because it is the right thing to do and they are human beings with the same red blood as you. It is sad but its true- some gave special favor to those with whom they have in common or with the same skin color. Racism is evil, and it leads to being disrespectful to others. Respect them when they come to your office;  be it in government establishment or police station- not because of the color of their skin but because they are human beings, they are in need, and tax payers.
We need to learn to honor and be grateful to those who have served so we can enjoy our freedom and the blessings of being free from dictatorship, oppression, aggression, and political and religious persecutions. Let’s not use and abused such freedom by doing such things that offend others. Freedom is very costly; be it in Biblical perspective or in political arena- it costs lives, money, time, efforts, and sweat, blood, and tears. True freedom is exercised with timing, in a right place, with a right perspective and purpose, and should have the goal not to offend others. I say it (as my personal opinion) on freedom.

Let me put myself in a scenario as an atheist standing in front of the mosque, a church, or a synagogue telling people not to get in because there is no God. Obviously, I am just exercising and using my freedom of speech or expression, and my freedom to exercise my own belief. People will be offended by my audacity to keep them away from the mosque, church or synagogue. Why? Obviously, I was in a wrong place and wrong timing. I was interfering in their time of worship and in their family time.

Sports are for everyone’s enjoyment. It’s a time where families and friends gather together in front of their television or in the stadium or gym to enjoy the sports. It’s the moment and the place where you don’t want to be distracted by politics, or some issues of some group of people. The fans came to watch the game, not to watch an athlete expressing his or her political view, disgust to the government or express his or her personal conviction. And they did not pay for their tickets just to be offended by something that is in a wrong place to express. You have some other times and place for such.

NFL and the government, the athletes or President Donald Trump will not come out of this issue a winner. The kneeling of the athletes, the attacking of both sides due to disrespectful attitude of some athletes will not solve the problems of our country. It fuels the issues on racism, degradation, injustice, intolerance, and other issues that plaque our nation. Let’s assume the athletes made their fellow athletes and opponents (including the fans) at the courts, fields or stadiums knelt down during the singing of our National Anthem in honor to our FLAG; but what’s next? Will they be successful in turning the mind set of some of the political party? Will it (kneeling down) make them cease as a racist? Do you think some of the politicians or individual will walk with you all the way as you struggle with racism or injustice? Bottom line is- will it solve the problem?

President Donald Trump will not come out a winner either even if he could make everyone stand during the singing of our National Anthem. But he will gain the respect, honor, gratitude, and dignity for those who have died, and still fighting for our FLAG. But the real issue will still be the same, and remain the same.

The athletes and NFL have millions of dollars that they can spend for good publicity for whatever cause they want to accomplish. They can use all the media outlets to share and express their grievances. They have connections in Washington D C to get the word out in a decent and orderly manner. The Congress and Senate should look into this, and probably draft and approve a Federal Law with regards to all the issues and grievances (of the athletes) that divides our land.
I believe kneeling down during the National Anthem is a personal choice and the athletes’ prerogative, but it is not the right resolution to our problems. We need love- love for God, for our country and fellow men. We need to look at people in the eyes and say; “He or She is a soul” and not on the color of their skin. The inner man is the real human being. The color of our skin is just the coverings in the sight of God. May we all stand united for God and our country!
This is my personal opinion and you’re entitled express yours…

There is Time and Place for Protests

There is a Time and Place for Protests!

There is always a time and place for everything. I am not against people protesting and expressing their freedom of speech. Mr. Jerry Jones is right (Read the Article Below). Be reminded that the FLAG, the National Anthem, and the honor of our soldiers for fighting and dying for our freedon should not be use, disrespected, and exploited. Whatever social injustice, political issues, or racial problem our country may be into; it is preferable and advisable to exercise any protests with decency, respect and order.

I hope NFL will consider working with the government to put an end on this issue in a professional manner, settle down the grievances, and restore respect to our FLAG. It's Red, White and Blue. It is not purely Red or Blue not Black and White or Brown. The USA FLAG represent you- It's in your passport. The National Anthem represents you. Every time the National Anthem is sang and the USA FLAG is raised; it takes us back from the founding fathers, to Abraham Lincoln, to World War 1 and 2, and to those who have lost their lives for our freedom.

The sports arenas or football fields are places where children and youth who are "would be" or "could be" another Michael Jordan or Tim Tebow are watching the athletes, not as protesters and disrespectful player to our FLAG, but as an accomplished athlete and people of great influence. If every athlete will impress a positive impact to every citizens by being a good example of respect, patriotism, and positive values- we are building a great future for our country and the future generations.

It is my desire to watch my grand children someday, coming to the sports events and not be worried of what they will see or witnessed on the unpatriotic, negative, and disgraceful attitude of an athlete or some athletes. It will definitely be touching the nerve of pride on both sides to settle this issue. One of the resolution is for the Congress and Senate to Draft and Approve a Law with regards to public response every time the National Anthem is sang and the USA FLAG is raised. Racism is evil, Social injustice is evil. Let's stop all these evil in love, respect and unity.

And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 21:2 KJV
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.

www.ely-roque-sagansay.com

You ponder on the words, the works, and the ways- and worried of the past, the present, and the future; it made you wonder and let you ponder, on what life may bring by the way you think of your family, your friends, and the future; like Mary and Jacob, who ponders on the news they heard of tomorrow or the future from God our Savior - Proverbs 24:12 KJV If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it ? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it ? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 20:18 KJV
Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.

https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/thanksgiving-every-day

It's easy to think of things and plan for your future and family, but remember to pray, ask for wisdom and let other people freely say; the words that they share, the knowledge they impart, might help you someday; therefore get some advice, and soon you’ll be headache free…- 2 Corinthians 8:10 KJV And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago.

Verse to Ponder: 2 Corinthians 8:11 KJV
Now therefore perform the doing of it ; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.

Proverbs 19:4 KJV
Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.

Wealth may be precious to you, as some may think it's money, things, fame, your love ones or somebody’s that close to you; but we know the world has different perspective on wealth as well as health in this life as you know, it is unfortunate to see how the’ve engulfed themselves in which is not true. - Psalm 49:10 KJV For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.

Verse to Ponder: Ecclesiastes 6:2 KJV
A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.

Proverbs 18:24 KJV
A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

If you're friends with the good, the bad and the ugly, some may judge you when you're with the ugly, but they’ll never know such friend love God and practice Christianity; may we resolved not to look at our friends and family, by the standard the world have set for us to see… -Job 19:19 KJV All my inward friends abhorred me: and they whom I loved are turned against me.

Verse to Ponder: Proverbs 19:7 KJV
All the brethren of the poor do hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him? he pursueth them with words, yet they are wanting to him.

Proverbs 15:7 KJV
The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so.

https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/thanksgiving-every-day

Disperse is such an ugly word for the Jews who knew Him not, it was when they were in the times of the prophets, it made them think of the sound of the trumpets, it was a night mare when they heard the sounds of the warning of the kings, to gather as a dispersed nation in the face of the earth. - Esther 3:8 KJV And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all people; neither keep they the king's laws: therefore it is not for the king's profit to suffer them.

Verse to Ponder: Ezekiel 12:15 KJV
And they shall know that I am the Lord , when I shall scatter them among the nations, and disperse them in the countries.
