WHAT WE NEED IN OUR HOMES
(Proverbs 15:33; 14:3) 33- “The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility. 3- In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.”
“When you have given God His place of honor, glory, and power, take your place of deepest lowliness, and seek to be filled with the Spirit of humility. As a creature it is your blessedness to be nothing, that God may be all in you. As a sinner you are not worthy to look up to God; bow in self abasement. As a saint, let God's love overwhelm you, and bow you still lower down. Sink down before Him in humility, meekness, patience, and surrender to His goodness and mercy. He will exalt you. Oh! take time, to get very low before God.”(copied) We need it as parents. We need it as Christians to be a witness to the lost world. Humility should start from our heart, in our home, then in the house of God. We need to walk humbly before God and in the eyes of the darkened world. In the Philippines, people from the provinces grow bamboo. One of the amazing things about bamboo is, as it grows higher and taller, the more it bows down to the ground. What a beautiful picture of humility. (I Peter 5:5-6) 5- “Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. 6- Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:” (Micah 6:8) “He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”
