“57- And
it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him,
Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest. 58- And Jesus said unto him,
Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not
where to lay his head. 62- And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand
to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:57- 58; 62)
The prince of preacher Charles Haddon
Spurgeon said; “If you only serve for the applause of men, you sacrifice the
approval of God. As Christ’s followers, we should not be surprised if the
service we render to others in Jesus’ name is unappreciated or even spurned.”
Keep serving the Lord in spite of… and in the midst of… whether you have
blessings or trials. (II Corinthians 8:1)
An old hymn says; “Living
for Jesus Who died in my place,
Bearing on Calvary my sin and disgrace;
Such love constrains me to answer His call,
Follow His leading and give Him my all.”
Bearing on Calvary my sin and disgrace;
Such love constrains me to answer His call,
Follow His leading and give Him my all.”
