"And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD hath given them?" (Numbers 32:7 King James Version)
Discouragement is universal. Everyone in every place and in every field of life went through it or will go through it. It's not normal for anyone not to get discourage because as long as we live a normal life, discouragement will always be a part of it. On the other side of the coin; its not normal for us to dwell in discouragement, because there is always a way out or a process and steps to take to be encouraged and be free from it.
Apostle Paul understand the feeling of being distress, much more of being discourage- he said; "Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:" (1 Thessalonians 3:7 KJV) Discouragement is one of the thing that I have to feel consciously, because if I don't feel it anymore for weeks or months; then I need to examine myself or search my heart. King David and Joshua knew what it means to be so discouraged because they've been there during their life time as leaders, fathers and husbands. God the Father said; "Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged."
