Proverbs 23:1 KJV
[1] When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee:
Sitting means "to be in a position in which your bottom is resting on a chair, the ground, etc., especially with your back upright." - Merriam/Webster Dictionary
I- To sit means to rest- Exodus 31:15 KJV
[15] Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord : whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
II- To sit means to refresh- Exodus 31:17 KJV
[17] It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
III- To sit means to refine or restore- Malachi 3:3 KJV [3] And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.- By Ely Roque Sagansay
