Proverbs 4:1 KJV
[1] Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.
"Hear and do" could be a good motto or principle to practice. Children may hear their parents or someone with authority say some good things but they (the children) at times refuse to listen or obey. We must hear and listen to:
I- The Holy Spirit that speaks to us the truth - (John 16:13 KJV [13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. (I Corinthians 2:13)
II- The Holy Scriptures that is showing us the truth- Luke 24:32 KJV [32] And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? (Luke 24:45; John 5:39)
III- The holy servants of God that serves us tirelessly- Zechariah 1:6 KJV [6] But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the Lord of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us. (Colossians 3:22; Ephesians 6:6; John15:15; Luke 17:10))- By Ely Roque Sagansay
