Mi Daily Devotion

Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Message 20:17

Job 20:17 KJV
He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.

Zophar the Naamathite was the one talking in this verse. He might be from the lineage of Naaman. It's just my assumption the way the writer's description of him, and as how he introduced him (Zophar) in this chapter of the Bible.

Zophar mentioned about man's sin and wickedness and all the bad and its destructive consequences. (read from verse 4 onward). But it's odd to know that Zophar also made his point by how much blessings the wicked would missed- and it's about the rivers, floods and brooks of honey and butter. Zophar used mean and disgusting words here too. Job 20:7 KJV Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?

Verse to Ponder: Job 20:29 KJV
This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God.
