Numbers 20:17 KJV
Let us pass, I pray thee, through thy country: we will not pass through the fields, or through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go by the king's high way, we will not turn to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed thy borders.

This could be one of the most amazing moments of the Israelites' life during their journey from Egypt to the promised land. It was a celebration of blessings and miracles. But on the back scene was the announcement of God that Moses and that generation will not be able to make it to the promised land.

Here Moses and God's people were refused entrance by the Edomites, and God informed him of the consequences of Moses' rebellion and doubt. Sad. (Numbers 20:17- 29)

Verse to Ponder: Deuteronomy 9:23 KJV Likewise when the Lord sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of the Lord your God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice.
