Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Exodus 20:17 KJV
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbour's.

“Covet” means “to be envious” in other translation. Some people steal or commit adultery because there is no contentment and true satisfaction in their heart. There is an empty vessel inside of them that says; “I want more” or “I want what he or she has”. It is the inner and fleshly desire which is not pleasing to God. Romans 13:9 KJV For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Verse to Ponder: Luke 12:15 KJV
And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
