Accept that you are a sinner before God. (Romans 3:10, 23) 10- “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:” 23- “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Ephesians 1:7) “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”
Believe and accept Christ as your Lord and Savior. When you accept Christ as your Lord and Savior, it means you also accept His Lordship, His shed blood, His finished work at the Cross of Calvary. You also accept Him as the second person of the Holy trinity. (Romans 6:23; John 3:16) “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Confess your sins to God (I John 1:7- 10) 7- “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8- If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9- If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10- If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”
