“LOVE”- BEYOND OUR IMAGINATION

SATURDAY
MI DAILY DEVOTION
“LOVE”- BEYOND OUR IMAGINATION
(Romans 5:5- 8)
5- “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. 6- For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7- For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8- But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
“The LOVE of God is Greater far than tongue or pen can ever tell,
It goes beyond the highest star; And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care, God gave His Son to win:
His erring child He reconciled, And pardoned from sin. O love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forever more endure the saints’ and angels song.” (Frederick M. Lehman)
Modern science and technology can measure the distance between earth to the sun and earth to the moon or other planets and stars; but they can’t measure the love of God. They can measure the deepest ocean of the world, but no one can measure the love of God, or describe it in words, in tongues and paint it in a canvas. Our mind is limited in its capacity to comprehend such LOVE. It’s really beyond our human comprehension. Faith in the Lord and what He has done on the cross two thousand years ago is the key to really understand His great love for humanity. We have to let the Holy Spirit of God convicts us of our sins and work in us in our hopelessness and helplessness. (I John 4:9) “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.”
