“16- Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith. 17- Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.” (Proverbs 15:16- 17)
The Book of Proverbs chapter fifteen verses sixteen to seventeen shows us the good pictures of many homes, relationships, attitudes and the different diets of men. The evil hearts and broken homes are the ugly pictures in these verses. Are you satisfied with little…? Which do you prefer: 1- “little with the fear of the LORD” 2- “great treasure and trouble therewith.” Would you live in a small house and simple life as long as there is love at home or live in a big house with materials things and wealth to enjoy; but love, peace understanding and the fear of the Lord is absent? Will you be content and appreciate what you have on your table and feel the love of God and the love of your family, or choose the other side of the coin? I understand the feelings of those who went to bed with empty stomach, but there’s nothing compared to an empty heart. “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” (Hebrews 13:5)
