Mi Daily Devotion

(I John 2:1- 2) “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2- And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”
We know we are all sinners and we deserve death as penalty for our sins, but there are those who are practicing sinners. What does the writer have in mind when he said: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (I John 1:9) God wanted for us to be honest to Him and to ourselves and confess to Him exactly as it is (Our sin).
What is "Advocacy" of Christ means? The Holy Spirit is the Father’s Advocate for sinners. The Holy Spirit came in the name of God the Father to work within us. The Holy Spirit is the One who talk to us and convict us of our sins in behalf of the Father. But Jesus is the One who stand before God the Father on our behalf for the forgiveness and cleansing of our sins. Jesus Christ the righteous and we have God the Father, the righteous judge. Do you notice the different functions of the Holy Trinity? “1-
