Mi Daily Devotion

(I John 5:3). “This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome.” The Bible says, “And His commandments are not grievous.” Why do we obey authorities? Should we be under His yoke and be the burden bearer? (Matthew 11:28- 30) What are the reasons why you obey God? Do you obey to please and honor His Holy name? Or we obey the Lord as an expression of our worship to Him? What does it mean “…And His commands are not burdensome?” Does it mean that if we obey the Lord, the load in this life will be lighter? We have so many burdens to carry even as we get up in the morning. We carry with us the financial load in our home, the load of responsibilities and problems of life. The load that’s unbearable and too much for us to bear is the load of sin. Do you believe that our disobedience to God will add unnecessary weight in our life? Our obedience to God and His Word will bring joy, peace, happiness and true satisfaction to our life and our family. “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”(John 14:15) Your obedience to God will help you discover more of Him and of His love. He wants us to experience His love, His goodness and His grace through our step of faith. “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.” (John 15:10)
