“8- For by grace are ye
saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9- Not
of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8- 9 KJV)
The best
thing in life is free. It’s true especially when it comes to spiritual matters.
When a business or a company offers you a free cruise, a free air fare or a free
computer or lap top; you may already know that you have to pay for it in some
ways or there’s always a catch, right? But not with God and what the Bible
promises to those who comes to God for free! The free gift of salvation- it’s
the eternal life in heaven. We will spend eternity in heaven with Jesus. Apostle
Paul wrote; “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6: 23 KJV)
Jesus
prepared for us a place that is beyond our imagination. Notice what He said to
His disciples before His crucifixion; “1- Let
not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2- In my Father's house are many
mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for
you. 3- And if I go and
prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that
where I am, there ye may be also.” (John 14:1- 3 KJV)
For Apostle Paul; it was not just about
his passion of preaching God’s Word, but also his desire to see people coming
to God for salvation. It was his vision to see the lost find the love of God.
He said; “4- But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man
appeared, 5- Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to
his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy
Ghost;” (Titus 3:4- 5 KJV)
