“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things
are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever
things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good
report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these
things. 9- Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard,
and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.” (Philippians 4:8-
9 KJV)
Doctor Ben Carson is a brain surgeon who made an
impact in the lives of many all over the world. His obstacles:
· His
mother was uneducated.
· He
was raised in a broken home and in poverty.
· He
was in an environment of prejudice, anger, and violence.
· He
was hot tempered.
· He
went to a school without his dad’s guidance most of the time.
In the movie “Gifted Hands” his mother encouraged
and motivated Ben and she believed in him. But the great thing is that Mr. Ben
Carson has a dream of becoming a neurosurgeon. In one occasion, Ben was telling
his mother that he was dumb and don’t have an imagination. But she tried to get
them motivated when she said; “You have all the world in here…” (Pointing to
Ben’s head) “You just got to see beyond what you can see…” During the job interview, Ben said; “I believe we’re all
blessed with astonishing gifts and skills. This is the channel (pointing to his
brain) the source of inspiration for unbelievable accomplishments.”
You will
not make it whatever you would want to accomplish and do if you will not use your
brain, get inspired, set your plans and goals, and be the best you can be! My
advice to those who wanted to make their goals in life happen- Take the Words
of the Lord Jesus Christ with you when He said; “For where your
treasure is, there where your heart be also.” (Matthew 6:21 KJV)
