Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
"The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal," (Proverbs 30:1 KJV)
Here in this verse we have an outline that we may use as guidance in meditating with the Word of God:
1- The People of God
The men of God were mentioned in this verse. The Bible did not mention the details of their life and works, but they are important to God. You are important to God too.
2- The Prophecy From God
Anything from the Lord is precious and holy. Too many false prophets these days, but in this verse- God has something to reveal and a vision to give. (Luke 16:16)
3- The Prophet of God
The prophets of God are the one who were sent with a direct message from God. We don't have prophets anymore. Anyone who claims to be God's prophets are false prophets. (Mark 13:22; Luke 16:16) The pastors, evangelists and preachers are sent by God to tell the world what has been said in the Scriptures already.-By Ely Roque Sagansay

Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
"He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy." (Proverbs 29:1 KJV)
The word "Reproved" is an old English term the people from England used hundreds of years ago which actually means "rebuke" "scold" or "correct". We rebuke or correct our children for their own good. Training and discipline are part of making and helping them to be good or better person. "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."- (Proverbs 22:6 KJV)
One of the hardest part in the ministry of the pastors and ministers is to rebuke or reprove. It's also hard to rebuke an elder or fellow pastors and ministers. But I believe that nothing more harder than the proud, arrogant, hard headed, stiff-neck, haughty spirited individual. (1 Timothy 5:1; 1 Timothy 5:20; 2 Timothy 4:2; Titus 1:13) "These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee." (Titus 2:15 KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
"The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion." (Proverbs 28:1 KJV)
Fleeing has several reasons and purposes. The Bible recorded some of the people, kings, prophets, and even the First family-Mary, Joseph, and Jesus when king Herod was eager to have the Messiah be in his hand dead or alive. (Matthew 2:1- 23) But we all know it did not happen or we will never celebrate Christmas at all since those times. Why do people flee? Some are running for their life or a threat is eminent.
Unfortunately, some people flee from the shadow of fear because of the bad decisions, poor judgment, fear of retribution and wicked things that they have done. Some may flee or run for fear of the shadows of sin. The best time to flee is when you're tempted or sin is too good to embrace. The Bible says; "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7 KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
We can boast about something that we don't have or may be our success, blessings, or accomplishment, but not of tomorrow or the future. Only God knows, and we know that our life and our plans is in His hands. Thus, we may say; "As God permits or if it is God's will..." The Bible says; "For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that." (James 4:15 KJV)
We may set an appointment with anyone, any day, any time, and any place, with any agenda as desired, it depends on ones prerogative. It is our freedom and free will. We can do that either for our own good or anything bad. But the appointment that is no respecter of person, place, time or day is God's appointment.- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
Although the weather all over the world have changed dramatically, and it becomes weird and unpredictable; we all know that it would be next to impossible to have snow on summer time. Fall season here in Michigan, USA just got started, but we can still feel the summer breeze. Some people are affected by the changes of weather- they have Seasonal Affective Disorder or (SAD). Check out: http://www.m.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/tc/seasonal-affective-disorder-sad-topic-overview
The Bible talks of SAD thing that happens in the whole world where evil and the bad guys are rewarded and honored. The kid in Texas was given honor while the cops who upholds the law, and the family of some slain cops are neglected. The Bible says; "... honor is not seemly for a fool." Apostle Paul wrote; "Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour." (Romans 13:7 KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
"These are also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out." (Proverbs 25:1 KJV)
What is a "Proverb"? The book of proverbs is not just another ordinary book or another proverbs to read and appreciate. It is a book that can be trusted and quoted for daily wisdom and guidance. It can be claimed in our daily walk with God.
The men of King Hezekiah treasured the writings of King Solomon because they know that they can profit from it. It was not a waste of time for them. It was a blessing and a treasure. Some of the promises to claim from the book of proverbs; "5- Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6- In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." (Proverbs 3:6 KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

10 Practical Reasons Why I Believe Dr. Ben Carson Could Be a Great President:
10 Practical Reasons Why I Believe Dr. Ben Carson Could Be a Great President:
1- He grew up poor; it means he can relates to the struggling families. His mother was hard working single mother, and Dr. Carson is a hard working man.
2- He grew up in a home with a single mother and with low educational attainment- thus, Dr. Carson can feel the pain of not having a father figure at home, and the need to pursue and get a decent education. He can repair or make our School Systems be the best in the world.
3- Dr. Carson grew up in Detroit, therefore he knew (during his times) what it means to live in a predominantly white community, If you know what I mean.
4- Dr. Ben Carson is a very religious person; and it's one of the most important part in politics. To have a Christian or God fearing president will play a big role in running a country, and we would not be afraid of religious persecution or another Nazi type of government.
5- You can always identity with his practical mind set and wisdom during interviews be it in television, in radio or in person.
6- Every time Dr. Ben Carson open his mouth; he always make sense, he is slow to speak (it means he just don't talk) he think first. He is very well oriented on how our minds works, he is a neurosurgeon.
7- He is a Medical doctor of which he can help or lead to the right direction our problematic health care systems such as the Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans, etc. and most probably the unpopular Obama Care.
8- Dr. Ben Carson is not a Traditional Politician (Tra-Po); he will not play politics in his decision making process as a leader and a President.
9- Dr. Ben Carson is a family man, it's obvious how he love his family by how long he has been married to his lovely wife.
10- He is not proud and arrogant. He walk the talks and talks the walk. It means he is living it... He is not just talking to create a hype. When he talks, he mean it!
A bonus for all music lovers, Dr. Ben Carson loves Classical Music and I love Listening to Classical Music too. But you have a choice. Prayerfully pick your candidate so you will not regret as some other people do today. You cannot take back your vote and you cannot change the president until his/her term ends. So don't let hype, emotion, great speeches, empty promises, and money make you pick the wrong person. Remember that your future and your children's future may partly or fully be affected... and at stake. This is just my personal stand, knowledge of... and personal political perspective, this is not an endorsement.- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
"Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them." (Proverbs 24:1 KJV)
"Envious" "Envy" "Jealous" "Jealousy" are the words that's present even in the most holy or religious place here on earth. In many churches and religious organizations, envy is obvious. It was pride that made God throw Satan down from the glorious place called heaven, and this sin (Envy) is the same as the sin of pride that destroyed millions, and throw down people on their knees.
The sad thing is the work of God, the ministry, or churches are destroyed or become stagnant because of this sin- the sin of envy and jealousy. Be not envious against evil men and even with the prosperous and righteous person. The Bible says; "A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones." (Proverbs 14:30 KJV) "Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long." (Proverbs 23:17 KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
"When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee:" (Proverbs 23:1 KJV)
We consider and use diligence when it is for our advantage or if we will gain from it. Some people may not even think of sitting with some influential or wealthy and powerful person. What could be the feelings of those who had a face to face encounter with the greats of the century in a dinner or a palace? What would be your mind set if that opportunity to sit with such person will pass your way?
Esther had the opportunity to sit with the mighty and ruler of the land, she grabbed the opportunity and made an impact. (Esther 2) The prophet Daniel was given the same blessing of sitting with the king. Daniel became a testimony of God's grace. (Daniel 1:8- 20) When Nehemiah was serving the ruler, the king; God placed him there for a purpose. Check and read Nehemiah chapters one and two. God use that open door to help his people in their deepest need. God has a purpose for you- be diligent!- By Ely Roque Sagansay

"A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold." (Proverbs 22:1 KJV)
Notice the words "great riches" in this verse. When you talk or hear someone say about "great riches"; what and who do you have in mind? In the Scriptures; we can read of prophets, and men and women of God talk about "great riches". Jesus Himself talk about riches, treasures, and wealth.
Moses in the book of Hebrews was mentioned in regards to the great riches and his good and right choices. "25- Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26- Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward." Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
"The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will." (Proverbs 21:1 KJV)
"The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD..." But for us Christians, we know that God is in our hearts and He is there to dwell as our Father and we are in His heart. We must submit to His will and to what He says in His Word if we would want to be bless and be pleasing to Him. It's so amazing to think of how powerful God is. The kings are under God's authority and power. If God is powerful, Who is He to you? Do you trust His hand and His heart?
Your love, dedication, and service to God is the reflection of Who He is to you. May we let our hearts be His will. Apostle Paul challenged every believers in his writings in the book of Romans. He wrote; "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Wisdom of the day from Mi Daily Devotion
"Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise." (Proverbs 20:1 KJV)
Drinking or alcoholism is like smoking pot or cigarettes and drugs addiction; it gives you fun at present with bad consequences in the future. If you can't overcome or get over the top, and stump your vices and addiction with wine- I may say you're a Servant of such powerless thing. It is powerless unless you we're already been deceived.
Wine becomes powerful when it bites. It will bite your mind, your personality, and actually it leads to ruin your sobriety. When it starts to bite; your relationship with your spouse and fellow men could become so destructive that it can destroy the foundation of your marriage. It bites to the bones when you start to act, talk, and live in it, because it will take you to problems and conflicts. (Proverbs 23:20- 31)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
"Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool." (Proverbs 19:1 KJV)
"Better is the poor..." This is like a paradox or unusual phrase to think about. Some of the poor people will tell you; "Being a poor person, life for me is never been better..." But the Bible says; "Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity..." It's because the Bible has different teaching, lifestyle, principles and philosophies than the world mind set.
It's not good and fun to be poor, but given the choice of being rich and poor that comes with it. It's either integrity, perverseness or foolishness which I believe is the reflection of the true man or person is the real issue.- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
Every first Sunday of the year, our church here in Michigan traditionally worship with "Heart's Desire Sunday" and prayer for every desires. I remember years ago writing down in a small piece of paper my heart's desire for my future life partner. I prayed that God would give me favor as I court a girl I really like and love- she is now my wife for 28 years.
I like the key word "desire" from this verse. Desire may just be in your heart right now; but you will never know what it will do to your future if you keep on praying and pursuing it with determination and focus. The greats in the Bible has their own personal desire. Notice what Apostle Paul says; "Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved." Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
"Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife." (Proverbs 17:1 KJV)
The Bible talks about "Dry Land" "Dry Bones" "Dried river" and "Dried sea". But when you talk of "dry morsel" it's something that may shake the home a little bit or the family may have been going through tough financial condition. The bank account could be negative or it hit bottom red- thus hopelessness is in the air under that beautiful roof and nice structure. But we can still maintain the good testimony and Godly principles by exercising the Bible teachings. "Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith..."
Apostle Paul said; "But godliness with contentment is great gain." (1 Timothy 6:6 KJV) "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." (Hebrews 13:5 KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
"The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD."!(Proverbs 16:1 KJV)
The heart of man... When you hear those words, what comes up to your mind? The physical and spiritual hearts of man is so mysterious and miracle filled spot in each soul. It is like the small brain in our heads- it creates, discover, foresees, analyze, etc. things that are beyond human imagination. The heart of man is so tiny that a Great, Big and Mighty God can resides by faith and repentance.
The heart of man can also make an impact for good and evil. It can store things human eyes could not see. It can fill its corner with sin or let God paint and cover its whole surface, and inside out by the blood of the Lamb. It's just a matter of choice- and such choice is in your power and in your heart. The Bible says; "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9 KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

"A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger." (Proverbs 15:1 KJV)
"A soft answer..." It's amazing to know how our answers to others in the midst of conflict could influence their attitude. A soft response is one of the hardest part to do with an angry person. It's the manifestation of man's humility in the midst of an argument or disagreement. Is it an honor to accept wrongdoing, and submit by giving a soft answer? Does it mean you're at fault when you do such?
Businesses, parks, recreation centers, and organizations has its way of appeasement to unhappy customers. Apostle Paul gave us the process of overcoming evil and be on the top of an angry soul. He said; "Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:" (Ephesians 4:26 KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
"Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands." (Proverbs 14:1 KJV)
In chapter thirteen of the book of proverbs, the writer mentioned about the wise son. Here, he talks about the wise woman. What's the gauge or the standard did he set (if there was one) to be called wise man, wise son or wise woman? You cannot just say; "He or she is wise". There must be a set of rules, standard or measurement of Intelligence Quotient (IQ) for a person to be called wise.
I believe king Solomon was more in focus of the spiritual maturity of the wise woman who builds her house in the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord. The Bible or the precepts of the Lord can make a person wise. The Lord is please when we trust Him in building our home through godly precepts. The Bible says; "I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts." (Psalms 119:100 KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
"A wise son heareth his father’s instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke." (Proverbs 13:1 KJV)
From the time of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden "hearing" plays a very important part in human history. It was God's command to the first man and woman to listen and hear the Word of God- His instructions. It was also the downfall of man when Adam and Eve listened to the voice of the enemy- Satan the evil one. It's amazing to know that those who hear the voice (instruction) of their father and do them were called wise. It's true to those who listen to the voice of God the Father and the voice of the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Apostle Paul wrote; "For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?" (1 Corinthians 1:19- 20 KJV) Who do you listen and get your instructions from?- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Will it Serve Justice for Others by Killing Another Law Enforcer?
The killings of Policemen and other Law Enforcers will keep on destabilizing the weak economy and unstable US government. We all know that at the end of the road; we (the present generation) and the future as well will be the real victims. We either settle the past peacefully or fight until the last man standing or see "The Last of the Mohicans" with vengeance in our hands, which I believe could be the worst idea.
This was the tactics of the "Left Wings" in the Philippines and other Communist countries who wants to take power or destabilize the present government system. Apostle Paul said; "Be not overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good". I personally do not blame the leftists for the atrocities and crimes the cops haters committed-it's just an example.
Today, a cops killer may celebrate for the death of his/her target; but unknowingly, his/her conscience will be there haunting him/herself endlessly. I assume if caught; regrets, resentment, and hardship will follow their footsteps. The other side of the nightmare would be their future, their families who loves and care for them, and the smell of roses and fresh air will separate them from the iron bars and white walls. The irony of it all; their life and all the good things they (the cops killers) have done here on earth will all be history with no commendation from a concern citizen or an ordinary by stander and fellow anti cops.
I'm sure the "Anti Guns" advocates and their fellow anti cops will not drop a coin for their temporary freedom. So, are we going to make an end of all these violence and killings by creating a new one or similar to what the bad apples are into? Are we going to take the best and peaceful resolution and the right path to love, and understanding? Will we put values in every lives or embrace what matters in our hands and minds?
We have bad apple in the military, in police forces, and even in religious organizations; so why punish just the cops who are waiting to response for any call to danger? I am not suggesting to punish all the bad apples in any organizations and departments of the government. It's the point where justice must prevail or we will end up in anarchy. We all wanted to be protected and such protection must be under the power of the Law of the Land. These people whose lives matters to their families put their future and whole being in jeopardy for our safety. It's unfortunate that some narrow minded people will just kill those who work to feed their family and faithfully do their duty.
I surely believe that the anti guns are NOT behind these atrocities and non sense killings of our policemen and other Law Enforcers. We cannot make our Police Departments strong and stable in this country by killing them and sowing fears to others. We can help destroy the bad apples in every department by supporting and standing with those who are willing to serve with honor and dignity.
I suggest the Congress and the Senate would draft and pass a Law in regards to use of force to the unruly and violent civilians or suspected criminals accordingly, and death penalty to the suspected criminals who used deadly weapons in attempts to murder, kill or pre-meditated murder to any Law Enforcers or policemen and women.- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
"Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish." (Proverbs 12:1 KJV)
I have yet to find someone who really loves instructions or discipline. It's one of my struggles in life, I've always wanted to strictly exercise good instructions and military kind of discipline in my life, but to no avail. I don't like it and I actually hate it. It's one of the things in my personal life that I need to shape up for good and for God.
Like our children; they hated it when we imposed to them good instructions and the disciplinary actions as needed when they were growing up. Notice what the book of Hebrews says; "And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:" (Hebrews 12:5 KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
"A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight." (Proverbs 11:1 KJV)
"Balance" is so important in life. The athletes needs to have a balanced diet or they will either be too heavy or lost a lot of weight. The airlines, the ships, and land transportations must be balance to be safe to travel. In banking and investments; balance is observed seriously and consistently. These are all in worldly and physical standard. How about the spiritual balance in life, how does it work with us?
The Bible says; "Let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know mine integrity." (Job 31:6 KJV) "Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity." (Psalms 62:9 KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Wisdom of the day From Mi Daily Devotion
"The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother." (Proverbs 10:1 KJV)
"A wise son..." It's a pipeline that flows through from the father to the children. It's means the secret of the dad's success reveals in the life of their children. True success is in the shaping and training of their children as they grow and cling or embrace the truth of God". Thus it makes the parents happy.
This is what makes us happy as expressed by the writer of the book of Psalms, he wrote; "Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. 4- As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth." (Psalms 127:3- 4 KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
"Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:" (Proverbs 9:1 KJV)
"Wisdom" will and can build a strong and stable homes. It can take us to the right direction and to the path of success. Wisdom can make us walk away from conflicts or from the hands of our enemy untouched or unharmed. It can direct people to the way of God. Wisdom will help us focus and be more fruitful, prayerful, graceful, and resourceful. Why? Because wisdom is from God, and if it's from God- it's a blessing and not a burden.
Why do people neglect or overlooked this great things from the Lord. Some people are self-sufficient, arrogant, proud, and (they) have a self-made attitude at times. We really need to ask God for wisdom. King Solomon was appointed King by his father David. Notice what Solomon desired when asked by God in a dream. Please read- (II Chronicles 1:7- 13)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion
"Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?" (Proverbs 8:1 KJV)
The word "Wisdom" may not be use in many business deal, but I'm sure it will help and a great blessing if people get to discover this hidden treasure (to some) from God. "Wisdom" may not be in many presidential speeches, but the presidents needed this more than any political and secular leaders in the world. The preachers and pastors may not use this word in their preaching or take the word lightly in their decision making; be it in family matters, church administration, conflicts or temptation, etc. remember, wisdom is needed.
Wisdom cries in the couples' decision to divorce. It cries in many job interviews and work places. Wisdom cries when a pastor or a Christian failed or fell into sin. God shed the same tears for you! Will you come to Him for wisdom and prudence. May we have this kind of attitude and desire, notice; "And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart." (1 Kings 10:24 KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay
