Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion

"My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:" (Proverbs 3:1 KJV)

This might be the continuation of the father's advice to his dear son. Indeed it's the same advice we might give to our sons and daughters. It's a counsel with eternal and spiritual value- "My son, forget not my law..." It's so easy for people to forget that which is spiritual than material or worldly stuff. Godly things are ignored and overlooked every day. It's sad.

The writer did not mean for everyone to memorize the law of the Lord or the Word of God although it would be great. What he meant when he said; "Forget not my law..." is put it into practice as we hide it in our hearts. It's a call to remembrance. "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." (Psalms 119:11 KJV)-By Ely Roque Sagansay
