Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion

"My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;" (Proverbs 2:1 KJV)

The first sentence of this verse is very rich and abundance in spiritual blessings. The first two words is a revelation of an intimate relationship of a father with his son. Then comes the advice or counsel to a son from a loving father. The father gave the option to the son- notice the word "If" in this verse. We all know that those who receive words of wisdom from their parents or mentor and do them will get the positive results or good harvest, and those who don't will take the other side of the fence.

If you receive His Word you will receive His promise. The promise of eternal life. If you receive His Word, you receive His Son; the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible says; "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" (John 1:12 KJV)-By Ely Roque Sagansay
