Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion

"My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee." (Proverbs 7:1 KJV)

"Keep my words..." Whether it's a command, a request, an option laid out for a trial and error or for someone to choose; the bottom line is for his son to keep his words. The words of the father to his son will only make sense and the power thereof be felt if the children will keep the commandments, do and live with it.

The writer said to his son to keep his words but not just to keep it for the sake of keeping it; but to also lay up such commandments. This is the same message the Lord Jesus Christ is commanding and telling us from His Word. Jesus said; "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love." (John 15:10 KJV)-By Ely Roque Sagansay
