Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion

"Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding." (Proverbs 4:1 KJV)

Proverbs chapter four verse one is definitely a history to many. Those are the words we used to hear from our parents when we were growing up and the same words the younger generations will hear from their parents. Life and it's pattern may go up and down, but the truth of the fathers' instructions will stay the same, especially if it's from the Word of God.

The older the person, he or she becomes more careful and pay more respect to wisdom by using it in making decisions. The instructions we used to neglect, disregard, disrespect and disagree with are now the same words we used to help our children or others to remind them and give them instructions. It's like a cycle in this respect. What the Bible says may sound familiar to many adults; "And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;" (Proverbs 5:12 KJV)-By Ely Roque Sagansay
